RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - Porsche 917 at Brianza - Hedlund - 08-09-2016 The link from any of Gorka's race announcement's should be fine: https://mega.nz/#!ShJ0WZAL!8wCfN6i_ORMF1UPhHNHm2ts6Vi5PEKBaGLSCq393qj4 Btw, I'm working Sunday, so no comeback for me for the grande finale. Not until next season. RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - Porsche 917 at Brianza - DJCruicky - 08-09-2016 :'( RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - Porsche 917 at Brianza - Dan Minges - 11-09-2016 I WAS having problems. My CPU was unable to keep up. A couple of simple changes fixed it for me: First, look at the CPU and FPS graph during an offline start of a 20 car grid. I read a while back on the ISI furum that vsync wasn't a good idea, so I had it off. This seemed wrong to me for a couple reasons: there is no need to render frames that you aren't going to see on a 60hz monitor, and while it is not working on needless frames it can do other things or just run cooler. Turning on "Software" sync fixed the problem for me, with no bad side effects noticed. In fact it seems to drive smoother and look as good or better than before! Plus the CPU has a bit of headroom as shown on the graph. Here is my rF2 config screen: Here is the CPU/frames as now configured during another 20 car start - with rain! Thanks to Mr. Cruickshank for the heads-up on the effects of CPU overload. 8) RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - Porsche 917 at Brianza - DJCruicky - 11-09-2016 Happy you found a solution to your problem Dan. .

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - Porsche 917 at Brianza - gorgias1976 - 11-09-2016 I must check how I have mine configured, maybe getting some extra smoothing RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - Porsche 917 at Brianza - gorgias1976 - 11-09-2016 I already had Vsync off. Tried "Software" and got a few less fps and some stuttering. Tried "GPU" and had no stuttering but also 4/5 less fps So finally I went back to "Off" |
