RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - cosimo - 04-10-2016 I'd like to join this event! No pitstop and a great car. Can't believe it! :-) I won't likely be able to commit more time and races though... sorry guys. Or not RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - deecee52 - 05-10-2016 mel1c Wrote:deecee52 Wrote:Its in the car model , you cannot refuel but you can change tyres and get repaired , the car jacks up once at both ends unlike the eves which jack 1 side at a time , its the same at all tracks for this car Pitstop is optional and not mandatory for this race RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - gorgias1976 - 05-10-2016 People said that pitting during race did nothing, no new tires nor no refueling. Thanks for trying to help ![]() I had no internet access after altering those numbers , "DHCP not enabled" windows said :-\ RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - deecee52 - 05-10-2016 gorgias1976 Wrote:People said that pitting during race did nothing, no new tires nor no refueling. I put some heavy wear on my tyres then did a pit stop , jacking is not as obvious as other historics but new tyres were fitted . If you check fueling section garage setup you will see there is no option for a planned pitstop , its the same no matter which track you choose so it must be in the car model RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - gorgias1976 - 05-10-2016 Hedlund Wrote:Harri Mac Wrote:No, it's the network adaptor setting for your computer. I think it's better doing it in your router configuration. If you know how to enter inside, you can set a pre-defined ip address for your MAC address and also change your DNS addresses (some people use google dnss). I always keep my provider DNSs, but you can change them just for a test online and then bring them back to normal. About setting a pre-defined ip address inside your local network, for me that's a must as I have a lot of devices inside the same LAN. RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - gorgias1976 - 05-10-2016 Yesterday, in a second test I did about 10 laps in a race fuel car (90+ liters).... and the car's performance wasn't that bad. Tire degradation was within reasonable as long as you don't lock the front tires every corner. Rear tires seemed to stand stronger than the fronts thanks to their big size. That's good to know, so in case of tire abuse, a flat spot or tire demanding tracks pitstops can be done.... and they're quick changing the tires so it must be taken into consideration as a part of race strategy. I don't know if I do something wrong but I did same thing directly in my router and same thing happened, no internet access at all. Also tried the google DNS, no access. This was not the only problem, from the router I could not go back to the default "obtain ip automatically from isp", it told me I had to enter an ip adress to be able to obtain an dynamic ip adress LOL ;D No way out, I had to reset the router to factory defaults. Thank god that fixed it, so now I have internet again at least.. But wth is going on, maybe I should just give up? I mean I don't even know what I'm doing. Just for fun, I had to try out if the reset had fixed the problem. Added a couple of AI's to the sr4l server but they disappeared after ~3 minutes
RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - gorgias1976 - 06-10-2016 try setting an infinte ping while you are driving in a test just like that one you did. In a command line type something like "ping -t SR4L_server_ip_address > log.txt" (we need to know the servers IP) Then, after the test check the log.txt file to see if packets were lost when the cars disappeared. At least we can check is the reason is a lost of communications with the server. RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - gorgias1976 - 06-10-2016 There's a way we can refuel during race in case we want to reconsider it and take back refueling. Also, I've calculated a pitstop should get you lose around 25 sec (including tire changing + pitlane time lost). I haven't done the math to calculate wether it's worth doing it or not. RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - edwin - 07-10-2016 Maybe there is a fix for the freezes and hopefully for my teamy also. Please Paul look at this: http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php?p=435434 RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - gorgias1976 - 07-10-2016 About refueling, no refueling for this race, we will think about it for the next league event as I think it would be faster doing a pitstop refueling and changing tires than doing none. RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - cookie - 07-10-2016 can you postpone this for a week please - thanks :-X- its thanksgiving in my country , cant make it , gotta eat a turkey bird RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - BT44 Season - Round 1 - Sao Paulo - gorgias1976 - 07-10-2016 Isn't thanksgiving the last thursday in october. Anyway, I think It's rather late for a race change.
