RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Fergy - 11-01-2013 Sorry guys, I've made a mistake with the Teams process : ![]() I've edited both this threads Header and the F2 Leagues to the correct method. The last step is what we are missing. Try this: Go the League Site Teams/Manage Add Add your Team name e.g Ferguson/Swire Choose the season, SR4L Lola Fun Race Save Scroll down and Invite your Team Mate from the list. Go back Teams/Invitations In the drop down box select the Season On your Team click send, you'll see a yellow warning symbol appear until your team mate accepts. Done
RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - gorgias1976 - 12-01-2013 I guess no pit stop required, isn't it? Let's see if tyres can handle it. RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Fergy - 12-01-2013 Tyres will go the full distance, I tested it last night but they will be around 50% worn depending on your pace. I don't think pitting will help either, fuel weight seems to be not a factor as well. RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Paul Swire - 12-01-2013 I was running with a full tank last night and didn't notice a difference. RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - gorgias1976 - 12-01-2013 I've done some laps this morning with fuel onboard. Car loaded seems to compensate the loss in acceleration with having the rear less nervous. RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - 1959nikos - 12-01-2013 So, you are all proposing full tank will last all race? RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Fergy - 12-01-2013 30 laps of fuel is enough although the Dynamic duo are limited to just 15
RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - gorgias1976 - 12-01-2013 1959nikos Wrote:So, you are all proposing full tank will last all race? I've just done some calculations. It takes me 2.1l (in the worst case) per lap. I'll be on 70l to avoid any risk of running out of fuel at the end. RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - deecee52 - 13-01-2013 Created a team but cannot invite anyone , if i try , i get dialogue box asking if i am sure , then the box containing the members names just changes to page cannot be displayed ? RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Fergy - 13-01-2013 The teams process has a bug http://simracers4life.com/index.php?topic=379.0 RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Navigator - 13-01-2013 I really mis the tyre sounds with this car. Finally found out what the issue was, me stepping in, doing okay times, another time stepping in and keep on overshooting every single corner. It's my way of braking; I always lock up first and release a bit. I know how much to release because of the tyre squealing and the smoke getting less. My former wheel and sure as h*ll this one, don't give me the feedback I need. The times I did okay, were probably just luck I guess; tried a few minutes ago and again; have no clue how hard to brake. The first tight right-hander, with the chicane right after that, just before S1; I can start braking right after the 400m sign and have luck I'm stopped in time, sometimes even to early just a bit OR......I can start braking well before the 400m and overshoot big time. Closed wheels on the front; I see smoke to late......have no clue if the car doesn't brake because of to light braking or locking up before it's to late. I have played around with the sensitivity but that had no use; the same happens but only at some other time in the pedal move. Setting the brakepower lower; it just don't brake as well even if I'm doing it right. So........if anyone has an idea......I would love to hear that
RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - 1959nikos - 13-01-2013 I think you can up the sounds from tyres at Settings/Sounds, I remember a discussion like that where somebody proposed it for same reason as you, to have more info from tyres. RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Navigator - 13-01-2013 I did that already, but it's still very, very quite....... I can't hear it. (Maybe it's because I'm old )
RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Navigator - 13-01-2013 NIKOS! You're awesome! If you would live a bit closer, I would kiss you! ![]() Looked in it again and then realized; the tyre sounds are not in "tyre sounds" but in "ambient sounds"!! Put that up and you hear them!! Thanks!! XXX
RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - gorgias1976 - 13-01-2013 Will increase that too, thanks. By the way, I always have to brake quite before the 400 signal, though maybe being in a quite low wing setup to experiment race battles. RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - 1959nikos - 13-01-2013 Navigator Wrote:NIKOS! You're awesome! If you would live a bit closer, I would kiss you! (Im glad Im thousands of km away, being kissed by James Dean is not my dream come true) RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Navigator - 13-01-2013 Gorgias; I run 2 on 30 and (more by coincidence) when I'm to late, I can brake past that, just a tiny bit. Normally; I brake ON the sign and all has to go well ![]() Nikos; you don't know what you're missing! RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - gorgias1976 - 13-01-2013 I'm on 1-16 (I think) that should help avoid being stuck by a slower guy or being able to defend from faster guys. RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - Navigator - 13-01-2013 Ah, good one! Explains the braking distance too
RE: SR4L Fun Race Sebring 24 hr time scaled - OldSlowFred - 13-01-2013 Tried registering for this with 'Will Race For Food' team. Not sure if clicking on the 'Send' button under Ask on the Team Application screen was the right place though :-\ Have not spent enough time here, the league registration is still quite confusing to me ![]() Anyways, gonna try to be there for the race... |
