You are hitch hiking too?

From time to time but I prepared myself with the guide Tongue
Your math skill was my only concern. Smile

Btw can we test tyre wear scale at some point? Would be nice to have to watch out for your tyres and treating it as good as your lover instead of ignoring it like a spouse.

Yes, it is from the movie, great onboard view.

I'd test it in non league events and depending on people's opinion decide if we adapt it to the league.
I'd also test different weathers (it could so fun to have a rainy race in Belgium with the 60s F2s)

RE: SR4L F2 Fun Race League Rnd 4 Monaco - Lecram - 01-03-2013

I don't think drastic tire wear improves to realism. The contactpatch model of the tire should also be complete in order to race wet weather conditions, which itself has got to be bugfixed as well I believe so nay to both from me at this moment.

RE: SR4L F2 Fun Race League Rnd 4 Monaco - Fergy - 01-03-2013

I'd really hoped to add both these features this time around but they're simply not ready yet. A little disappointing ISI don't give us beta testers a better look at this stuff. Like I've said before I think ISI are holding a lot back from us.

Those two features would really add a lot to our races. I know weather isn't really implemented yet but wasn't build 146 ("Introduced tire rubber degradation model.") all about the tyre wear? I thought the only thing missing were punctures and blow ups.
I try some racing with 5x scale for testing.

RE: SR4L F2 Fun Race League Rnd 4 Monaco - Kalanur - 02-03-2013

Ahh now I get it. Tyre wear is implemented but not yet working with every car/mod and the 60's don't have tyre wear yet :/

But while testing tyre wear I've noticed something else regarding the Green Light start bug.
When setting up a race length time like 60mins the moment it would go to green it says "60mins left" in the chat window so you have another indicator for Green. Could help if the bug is still there with new build and I don't think we will reach a length of 60min so it won't change anything to the race itself Smile

RE: SR4L F2 Fun Race League Rnd 4 Monaco - Navigator - 02-03-2013

Hope you all have a good race guys.
I will be practicing, but am not joining the race probably.
I mounted my old Momo to the playseat and it's back- and leg breaking; it hurts when I try to drive and have to break my leg to apply full throttle. Smile

As a result; I have practically no control over the car and on a track as this one, it's an unwanted situation.
Maybe I do join at the rear, driving my laps and take points for finishing, might come in handy end of the season Wink
But Bryan or Paul; can you set me on the last place for all three races? I don't want to be in front on the third race.

Also; I lost all my setups........just had some good ones Sad
Strange and maybe someone knows something that I can check, but I copied the complete rF2 folder from "my documents" to an external hard disk and when I reinstalled the system, tried to set back my settings; there were some other setups in there which don't look familiar (looked like standard, but never saw them before) and my own were gone Sad
I know I had the word "camber" in one of the setups and I did a search for that; nowhere.

I do have a theory; we have girls here and some of them are in IT, working with software........she kicked my ass yesterday afternoon........(well done!) and well......not saying anything, not accusing.......not naming any names, but it's obvious, right? Wink Smile

That's unfortunate Wim (btw. i work in the IT too and i want to get on the podium tomorrow, maybe a missing detail in your conspiracy theory Smile ).

Already posted by gorka last season (but i forgot this video exists) and hopefully it helps me to get the gears right tomorrow. Still wasn't sure whether to use first or second gear in slow corners and what to do with the fifth gear.

And i should not do this tomorrow cause race and maybe life is over (Regazzoni didn't got hurt).

Too bad you can't race tomorrow probably, but if you do race the last place on the starting grid is mine Big Grin Sorry Wim Tongue
Because of your theory, yes Wim I stole your setups and put on Ebay to finance Bryan's wheel Big Grin 8)

All I can say about this track is ****ing hay-bails and ****ing harbour drinks.
So can I post my picture of a fish yet?

RE: SR4L F2 Fun Race League Rnd 4 Monaco - Paul Swire - 02-03-2013

We should take bets on how many cars will end up in the sea lol

I'm going for 5 Big Grin

I'm using first gear in all slower corners, fifth gear just at the exit of the tunnel. I'm particularly concern about right gears as using H lever + cluth gives a very busy driving here, many times oversteering single handed which is not helpfull at all. So to me it'll be a very hard race and must sacrifice perfect gearing for the shake of driving safer.

Note: many people missing the race + the ones who will not make it to the end will result in very few people getting the checkered flag. :-\

It's the one I shared with you on the first day. Don't know how the setup turned out for you but hopefully it helps Smile

Interesting. I'm using H lever + clutch too now so setting up gears is even more important. I observed (hehe) Nikos setup yesterday, he is using gears 2-4. Guess im going the golden path and use 1-4 and sacrifice the 5 for safety and less stress before the chicane (like Graham Hill).

RE: SR4L F2 Fun Race League Rnd 4 Monaco - gorgias1976 - 02-03-2013

My gears go as follow.
[Image: Circuit_de_Monaco_1950.png]
Saint Devote = 3rd gear
Massenet = braking into 3rd and entry and into 2nd at middle corner
Cassino = 2nd gear
Mirabeu = first gear and quick 2nd gear at exit
Hairpin + Portier = all in 1st gear
Le tunnel = shifting to 5th gear at entry (only time using 5th gear)
Chicane = 4th gear
Tabac = 3rd gear
Gazometre = 1st gear

By the way, this pic I took this morning is my new Desktop background image Tongue

RE: SR4L F2 Fun Race League Rnd 4 Monaco - vittorio - 02-03-2013

Oh, that's alot shifting, i can't handle this. I will probably go by:

Saint Devote = 3rd
Massenet = 3rd
Cassino = 2nd
Mirabeu = 2nd
Hairpin = 1st
Portier = 2nd
Le tunnel = 4th
Chicane = maybe leaving in 4th and down to 3rd after the chicane. I crashed sometimes yesterday by shifting to 3rd before the chicane.
Tabac = 3rd
Gazometre = 1st

RE: SR4L F2 Fun Race League Rnd 4 Monaco - DJCruicky - 03-03-2013

I've been taking the chicane in 5th. No wonder I've been in the harbour so much.
