RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - deecee52 - 17-11-2021 Here are my setups for Ferrari and Honda for those struggling to find a balance RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - sdancourt - 18-11-2021 Cold tyres is the real issue here. At least 4 laps to get a decent temp on it. RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - Eric O'Hara - 21-11-2021 I am sorry, but my internet is not reliable enough in time for this coming race, I will look at getting a "dongle" connection package for the future as I would like to join in for this series. In the meantime I will do some offline practice... much needed. Thank you to all who organise these events RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - deecee52 - 21-11-2021 Eric O'Hara, post: 30522, member: 1232 Wrote:I am sorry, but my internet is not reliable enough in time for this coming race, I will look at getting a "dongle" connection package for the future as I would like to join in for this series. We didn't have a problem until the last 18 months or so. They are now putting fibre-optic through locally and so hopefully things will improve, however my son recently bought a dongle with 3 and we are testing that out. I have to say I am also a long... way off the pace so need to use this time to practice. I was never very good in the RaceConnect days years ago but I did enjoy these cars. Thank you for every ones time and help. RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - bullwinkle - 22-11-2021 always welcome and we have lots of fast guy I need some slow buddies to race with come on in lol RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - cookie - 24-11-2021 Mr Fox (Myles7), post: 30544, member: 579 Wrote:Round 3 track loaded.theres some chicanary going on with the track......someone stuck a chicken in the middle of what should be the back straight !!! RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - deecee52 - 26-11-2021 Due to the less grippy nature of this track , we are swopping to outer track B to lessen the chance of contact , RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - DJCruicky - 26-11-2021 We also have an updated to the car too. v1.06. Mauro has made, with permission from the car author, new UI icons. I think they look very good. I added the following to the mod:- - Pit extra random time delay for Tyres reduced from 9 sec to 5 sec to make it more league friendly. - LODmultiplier changed to the default 1.0x for better FPS in cockpit view. It was set to 100.0x. Big tracks like Targa Flora, Nords and Isle-of-Man gain the biggest FPS. Smaller tracks you will not see much gain. - Small clipping problem fixed in Swingman view. - Fixed dashboard RPM and Fuel lights. They were intermittently only working on some cars, not all. The fix was to change 'Alpha Sort Offset' from 0 to 5. I also made them glow. - Fixed material of glass windscreen. With a small number of tracks, track objects such as road lines were showing infront of the glass windscreen. I changed 'Alpha Sort Offset' from 0 to 5 to fix this. Mauro has asked us to stress test it on the server for feedback. Hope to get it up soon on the server. New vehicle files are available for direct download but if you can use DJs links, that’d save some bandwidth (someone needs to check the direct download works though!) RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - Myles (Mr Fox) - 26-11-2021 I've logged on and the direct download (from our game server) worked fine with no need to remove any existing files/mods etc. on my client pc. Note - I've accidentally left one of the Britus 49s in the mod - DO NOT BOTHER SELECTING THIS VEHICLE AS IT WILL BE REMOVED! Now fixed RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - deecee52 - 27-11-2021 No problems for me in the Brabham , cars do look nicer RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - cookie - 27-11-2021 hehe - its our new sim racing motto " in the interest of safety we have removed the chicane " RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - Myles (Mr Fox) - 28-11-2021 Well four of us had a little 5-lap race this evening. I’ve not driven the cars in anger before as I can’t participate in the championship due to other commitments - but I was somewhat surprised that John C - and then Thomas S(or was it DJ?) appeared to blow through the tyres in that distance?!? RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - lamer of fortune - 29-11-2021 Hi, that was me and the tyres were ok but my driving trying to defend against DJ was too aggressive and the tires got vvery hot with all the skidding - his too. RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - DJCruicky - 29-11-2021 After passing Tobias, I double shifted down to many gears and spun the car. It was like pulling on the hand brake on, the reason you all overtook. Tricky to get right that long left corner where the chicane was. removed. It was like pulling on the hand brake on, the reason you all overtook.Well the way it gets tighter and tighter is a nightmare - I’m not sure how you guys were managing to stay wide all the way from the previous corner though - my setup is only really happy keeping down low until just after the chicane. It’s not a particular problem - but I’d like the option of running wider through there! RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - DJCruicky - 10-12-2021 Moving on to the Nords event .Car seems to handle quite well on the track. I'm surprised. In some corners the back end wants to drift out, give it a small correction and it sorts it's self out quick, nice feeling. lol, I see someone has already did the Cock lap in Live timings, it's where someone does the shortcut twice and get a sub 2 minute time. There is always one. I was looking at the track and think I found a way to stop this. It's something I learnt while making the Bridge to Gantry layout. This is good news. By the way, anyone tried the new Bridge to Gantry layout? DJC RE: SR4L 2021/22 1967 F1 Legends Championship - deecee52 - 10-12-2021 yes DJ nice layout but got caught out by barrier going for second lap, mega crash |
