I'll find it hard to join today (if I can it'll be close to midnight CET), but anyway hope to read your results.

I'm around 40fps, what is the average best I get at every track, but at least they seem stable in this track.

If you doing your tests with 20 ai cars of course you going to have low FPS. They are a lot more FPS hungry than 20 online drivers.
If track is cancelled, new Essington Park is great.

Texas World Speedway Oval running on Server 2 for testing, we may be switching to this track next week due to the low FPS issues that are currently being reported about Blackwood.

We would appreciate your feedback on this.

interesting Dj, the new Essington sounds good.

Any talk about yesterday's test? Anyone else has had fps problems? It should be a general problem in order to make a sudden track change.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life 1960's F1 League - Lecram - 08-10-2013

Yes. More drivers reported low fps and like Dc said very well yesterday: if there is doubt, scrap it, we don't want to look stupid if it does turn out to be problematic.
New track tba.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life 1960's F1 League - gorgias1976 - 08-10-2013

Oh, fine, if it is a more general issue and not something that can be fixed by quick setting changes.... let there be a new track.

As Paul says I'm in the opinion the oval race should be the one to be raced this week in this case, that would be the easiest to learn and set up.
But please, announce it as soon as posible so everyone can be aware of it.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life 1960's F1 League - Fergy - 08-10-2013

Please leave plenty of feedback with the oval track. Try some races, pitting so on. Obviously easy to learn to drive around but race craft will be all new to most sr4l members on the oval.
Holding your line and know what's left and right of you the first few laps will be crucial.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life 1960's F1 League - gorgias1976 - 08-10-2013

I'll be online from 4GMT to 5GMT doing some testing. Maybe also later at night.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life 1960's F1 League - gorgias1976 - 09-10-2013

So... are we bringing the Oval for this weekend? (Another track must be thought for Nov 10 when the Oval was about to be raced)

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life 1960's F1 League - Fergy - 09-10-2013

Yes the TWS Oval is the Sundays track.

Please make sure to practice as many starts as possible and holding your lines for the first few laps. Patience here could see you ending up with big points. Make no mistake this will be a hard event so a real chance for those survivors to clean up some points.

I'll need some lap times to calculate laps if some one can give me some feedback please.

lap times are between 40 - 44 sec

Let's say the fast guys can make a leading group lapping in the 41s, at least until the right front tires start to overheat (I haven't tested that many laps to see if fuel burn can compensate for the lost in front grip).

We did a small 5 lap race yesterday. Almost spun at start as the tail kicked strongly to the left of the banking as rear tires started to spin in first gear.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life 1960's F1 League - Lecram - 09-10-2013

I've set the server to rolling start and 15 racelaps. It would be great if we can try it out tonight with a big field.
I'll be there about 22:00 cet.

I'm also working on a basic ruleset for this event, fyi, so keep an eye on the news and make sure you read it. Smile
