This time we'll be racing the powerful Lola T70 in Nordschleife. With only 4 gears and a super powerfull engine this car will let you know why Nordschleife is know as The Green Hell.

That car in your pic looks really cool 8) And nice with such a short race too.. Pure sprint race and hopefully a lot of action. Only downside is that pitstop has to be done either 1st or 2nd lap. Doing it on final lap should be forbidden even if your pitbox is before finish line, as you gain a lot by not driving the whole pit lane after the pitstop.

I really hope I can participate this time :-\

I think we can do this event without a mandatory pit stop, doing it means just one flying lap.....if you stop and the end of lap 1.

That would be also for the Lola? or is it capable of doing 4 laps in the racing time?

I think the best is to have all options available.
People should go for highest wing and widest tires in such a powerfull.

Engine can differ in what people better like (but normally....the more power the better)

I estimate the 24h course laptime to about 9 minutes for the T70 spyder. And for the T290 we did 8:40ish in the fun race we had earlier this year. So with no pitstop and 4 lap race that would probably mean over 40 minutes before everyone has finished. So a 3-laps race with or without pitstop will be closer to a 30 minutes race. For me it doesn't matter if we do pitstop or not.

Driving the Tourist version instead would probably mean that we can squeeze one more lap in, but I'd still prefer the 24h layout..

I am amazed by the absent of grip in this car. Wow. Somehow it feels like a boat floating around, to be honest. It's definitely a challenge to find the exact throttle value at all time, without spinning the wheels (too much..), varying between like 30-70% throttle most of the track, and just a few times (except from the long straight of course) one is able to floor it. It's fun but seriously I'm starting to doubt the grip levels lol :o ;D

I've been thinking about pitting or not and I think for Nordschleife it could be nice to apply the idea of avoiding pitting.
The fun event can be a 3 lap sprint race in the 24 hour version of the track and the league event could be a 4 lap sprint race in the tourist version.

Can we foget pitting altogether at fun races for reasons we talked before, i.e. new people coming, passers by that dont know our rules and its hard for us to explain at chat.

the t70 is a handful jeez, ive been driving it a bit with isr league every second sunday for 1 hour - the beast is tiring after an hour

i hope combey shows up he is really fast in the t70 and might add some spice

it goes fastest when you make it feel slow and smooth - its a road eater beastie

Yes that is definitely how it wants to be driven..

Avoiding wheelspin at any cost is the key to keep the tires from overheating and doing consistent laptimes. That's how I did my first lap under 9 minutes.

I think we can do an exception in the rule for Nordchsleife and do both fun and league events without a pitstop.
3 laps in Nordschleife 24h in the T70
4 laps in Nordschleife Tourist summer in the T290

I won't be in the fun event as usually (fun event sundays are wife's sudays)
