RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - gorgias1976 - 26-08-2016

The 60's Mix classes seasons is coming to an end and it's time to start thinking in the next one.

Here's is the first poll, and it's time to think in the type of car we will be racing next season.

keeping it classic or going a little more in the future?

Lets move this at the News section, its importand.

view results bottom not working

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - gorgias1976 - 26-08-2016

You should see results as soon as you vote. I do this so opinions are not influenced by results.

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - 1959nikos - 26-08-2016

cmon kids, vote and say your view, we dont want 3 people to decide for all, do we.

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - gorgias1976 - 27-08-2016

5 votes each..... I wasn't excepting it to be so close ;D

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - 1959nikos - 27-08-2016

It would beery helpfull if people who vote say their view about it so they help others to make the right choice.

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - gorgias1976 - 27-08-2016

I voted for the 1988 formulas, it's a change to the usual races we do, a lot of adrenaline on board and a great inmersion, also the track pack included in the mod is awesome.
They are also very physical, something I like but most probably for some people that can be the biggest drawback.

In my case I don't mind driving a slow car like a Minardi and fully manual, helping having a more balanced grid and having to get a shower after a session on the car.

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - 1959nikos - 27-08-2016

I voted for 1988 because we have already done all classics twice (except Cobra and Houstons-well, i dont remember people wanting to do a full season with these, if somebody wants them please propose them) and I felt people would be bored to do the same again.

If people feel we shouldnt deviate from the old classics, Im ready to change my vote.

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - sdancourt - 27-08-2016

I vote for F1-88 because is challenging, could be a change for a while, can be a FULL F1 season with the chance to race the same car for a long period of time on differents tracks and the opportunity to learn and improve my driving skills.

But this are difficult cars and if polls is split, there is no joy on it, better to get an option that everybody agree on or at least, something that show a clear majority.

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - Ricknau - 27-08-2016

I voted 60s or 70s. I've never been drawn to modern (or semi-modern) high-power high-downforce cars. I really like the 60's. (I guess I'm just old.) My lack of desire and the fact that they are a much different animal to tame has kept me from diving into them. What little seat-time I've put in playing around with them didn't spark me too much.

That said, I won't drop out if that is how the votes go. After the season I will re-evaluate my feelings. I have been known to come-around to new ideas after being nudged out of my box. I did after-all like the Lola which was a bit beyond my favorite time frame and car type.

even tho I cant race yet except during week I vote for 70's car I like the bt44

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - Hedlund - 27-08-2016

We should have a fun event with the f1 88 cars

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - sdancourt - 27-08-2016

Not one but two or three....

I'm looking forward to that one too.

I just drove a Dallara DW with stock setup around Mosport . It was like driving a slot car! VERY easy to drive fast!. Not saying skill and talent wont blow me away. That is a fact of life for me. But just going that fast on lap one makes it seem to easy. I guess I just like the struggle and finesse needed to drive the old cars competitively.

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - gorgias1976 - 28-08-2016

We could consider the 1988 cars for the next fun event in Monza instead of the Porsche previously suggested.
Knowing how fast we are we can also see which cars are faster and which slower.

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - gorgias1976 - 08-09-2016

We must think in what 60s-70s cars available we have for next season before creating the poll.
We have:
ISI-F3
ISI-F2
ISI-F1
AC Cobra
Howston Dissenter
Howston G4
Howston G6
Porsche 917 (doubtfull about overheating issues)
BT20
BT44

anything else? I'll try to make the poll tomorrow.
My idea of the poll is to pick the 3 most voted and then make a final poll among them.

RE: 2016 Autumn-winter season car - 1959nikos - 08-09-2016

Looks good but take ISI-F1 out, we just did that. Leave BT20 in as only you picked it.
