RE: SIM RACERS 4 LIFE - MULTI-CLASSICS SEASON - ROUND 7 - MOSPORT - REPORTS - Ricknau - 28-08-2016 Qualified 7th but within about .3 seconds of P4 time. Race 1 Got disconnected just as we took to the grid! Man how disappointing! I was hoping it was a mass disco but I guess it was just me. Have no idea what screwed up at my end. Race 2 Was placed 7th on grid. Had a good start. Got spun at the T3 left hander and spun 360 but had no damage and didn't loss a position... whew! Made a couple clean passes and felt pretty good about my performance. Then on lap 4 I went off on the T2 left-hand crest giving up all my gains and then some! I climbed back to P8 after Dan Bayford and Gorka each had an off. Was still feeling good about my race as I slowly reeled in Oscar on laps 10 and 11. I charged hard in the approach to the hairpin hill. Oscar locked up as i was closing on him. I locked up too momentarily and had to go just a bit left to avoid him. That put me off and into the wall. Heavy damage. 3 1/2 minute repair so I got P10 as last guy running. RE: SIM RACERS 4 LIFE - MULTI-CLASSICS SEASON - ROUND 7 - MOSPORT - REPORTS - edwin - 28-08-2016 Sorry Rick (and as a matter of fact Gorka) for the second race t3 incident i lost it while downshifting (didn't get heel and toe right) which cost both of you lots of time. report will follow later when rl lets me :o RE: SIM RACERS 4 LIFE - MULTI-CLASSICS SEASON - ROUND 7 - MOSPORT - REPORTS - sdancourt - 28-08-2016 Its very surprising how tough was to race here, very easy to get damage at almost every single corner. Qualy: P5 with a medium 23. Race 1: Went wide exiting T2 while going down, fortunately, I expensed some time training NOT to crash at the walls, so, I was on last position but no damage. Going up and up while almost everybody crashing until I found myself behind Dan Bayford. Unable to pass him, I was pressing hard looking for a mistake, but when it happened, two laps before end, I was to close to Dan, crashing him, anyway I make my way to the finish line on P5 in a very damaged car. Race 2: No reverse grid, so I start in P5 and managed to keep the position until somebody else crashed (think was Billy Blaze) getting P4 to the end. Good weekend. But yeah I can do regularly if you'd like me to. ![]() edwin Wrote:Sorry Rick (and as a matter of fact Gorka) for the second race t3 incident i lost it while downshifting (didn't get heel and toe right) which cost both of you lots of time. Not a problem. It's not like you were trying a bold move. I can't imagine the difficulty of manual shifting! Tip of the hat to you guys that do that! |
