Paul, can you set a NO speed limit in the pits for this event? to better simulate the 1968 race.

There are two posible strategies for this event:
Start with a full tank of fuel and make no pitstop (recommended)
Start with half the fuel and make a pitstop in the middle of the race (not recommended, demmands pushing too hard all laps and making no mistake)

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - 1968 Belgian GP - gorgias1976 - 13-09-2016

Have you been able to test which goes better in the track? F1, F1B or F1C ?

This combo is the second worst idea I've EVER heard in my life.

Which, in my book, is a good thing :p

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - 1968 Belgian GP - gorgias1976 - 14-09-2016

W10 users, there's a big Windows update on the air, try to update it as soon as posible so you don't catch it on race day.

I turned my pc off last sunday, said it to Update & shut down, when I turned it back on today it took 40 minutes to end the update. Ruined my plans for my practice session.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - 1968 Belgian GP - sdancourt - 15-09-2016

My PC lives without updates as a rule.

Finally David took the victory and a deserved win after a tough race.
I eneded my selft stuck in a fence on lap 20.

I was surprised how quick my car was on qualy, not that much on the race with a full load, that's probably due to my aggresive setup.
David, I'm sorry about the touch on eau reuge, I was struggling on the braking with the rear so I had to approach a little slower.
I was also surprised by how quick Santiago was racing untill he left.

Hi there
do we really need to try to decide 28 lap races in the first 3 corners?
After doing quite a few training laps my race ended after 30 seconds by being pushed into the fence from behind in a badly executed overtaking attempt.
I thought about letting it stick out there for the remaining 27 laps as a protest sign against such wrecking driving style.
At least Qualify was fun.
best
Tobias

You're right Tobias. In such a long race it was unnecessary to take risky moves just from the very beginning

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - Fun Event - 1968 Belgian GP - sdancourt - 19-09-2016

I love this circuit and this car too, is an amazing combination, I trained both endless hours in private form long before been part of SR4L community and I have a good setup.

Of course, 28 laps is too much for me, so I decided to make one pit stop. My car had 87 liters at the start of the race and was good for a high 25 per lap indeed.
