I never thought much about Laguna.
I couldnt get properly into the corkscrew, couldnt get the hairpin right, usually I was all over the place.
To my surprise this time it turned out to be a very flowing track, not boring at all with these ups and downs.
Maybe its because of these lovely little cars that Kristijan made.
I did just one or two mistakes, finished last but I really enjoyed the race.

race 1 - got a great start and wound up battling the top 5 for the first part of the race - couple of guys struggling for a consistent race pace - near the end of the race i wound up behind andy p - on the last turn i was following getting ready to draft him on the front straight and a lag stopped his car dead in my path- wheels touched and he went flying ....!!!sorry -
2nd race was a rinse repeat at the start but the rolling start was much easier - again behind andy he caught a slip in the sand and spun out onto the track - i seemed to drift off in the sand forever , resuming in 2nd last place , had a couple more spins on the next laps which pretty much ruined my race
others fared worse i think - i had laggy issues at times -

Back with my new power supply, no problems whatsoever from the rig despite the high temperatures here.
Because of workload and the monster motor sport weekend I could not train as much as I would do normally, but I managed to qualify in the middle of the field, so that was good. Drove a decent race up to the point where I had some lag where the car suddenly came to a stuttering stop and next thing I saw was the sky, landing upside down and pointing in the wrong direction. Had some good battles until then though.
The lengthy discussion between races gave me the time slice I needed to watch the Indy finish, so I took the second race with a smile and quite relaxed. I managed to steal a few spots from faster people going wide in the first corner and soon had a train of faster people on my tail, not least teamie ramon. Laguna is not a place for easy overtaking, so I held onto it for some lasp. Had a moment braking for the cork screw where the car turned right after the jump on top of the hill and that was that.
Well, another fine track (abundant in the US as it seems!), two so-so races, but a good weekend all round. I am happy!

Bad race night for me :-X
RACE 1
- It started good, position 7, no accidents in first turn, no position lost, although at Turn 4 or 5 I saw some guys spinning behind me
- I had a close racing with Bauer, Cook and Pappas in front of me till lap 6 when I brake too much in the first turn, it got me sliding a lot and losing time
- Tires were burned, somehow I kept the car steady and got closer to Cook and Pappas by the end of the same LAP 6
- I have passed Cook in the LAP 7, but the tires were failing on me and car was getting harder and harder to keep steady
- LAP 8 - 1st turn, yet another big slide, almost spinning - Cook is now back on my rear end
- I could either slow down to keep tires and risk Cook overtaking me, or push it hard and risk spinning out
- With some mistakes and sliding I was still in front of Cook until Turn 2 in LAP 9, where I had major slide spinning out of track on the sand and Cook, Piper and Hart passing me by
- At that point the tires were too hot and gone, every turn was a slidefest with time losing
- LAP 10 - time to pit - Fresh tires kept me going good till Lap 13
- LAP 13 - turn 3 - I went for early apex, hit the red sausage kerb and BOOM - went flying in the air, landing on the roof and waiting to get back on the road, 3 guys passing me

- Got back and had a good race with Fisk for a few laps till Lap 15 where I spun out again at Corkscrew, losing lot of time to get back, Fisk was gone and someone passed me too
- I had no chance to get back at them, it was just a matter of completing the race and finishing 11th
RACE 2
- I was irritated from mistakes I made in first race, but rolling start went fine, position 7, in first turn I went bit wider and Andy Piper passed me on the inside, me losing a position
- On the same lap later, DJC went off track with few of us passing him by, me regaining POS 7
- At last turn of this lap, I got in position to overtake Piper from the inside for the 6th position, I have secured the line but Piper didn't saw me and bumped in me, causing me to lose time and lose 2 more positions to Cook and DJC later

- Now POS 9, for next few laps there was good close racing with DJC, Cook, Bauer and A. Piper in front of me
- I did some mistakes and unnecessary burned tires, causing car to slide a bit
- LAP 6 - Piper in front of us made a mistake going bit off track, started to slide and crashed into Cook, Cook spoon out, we passed him by

- LAP 8 - I got passed Bauer for POS 7, two turns later I went wide and lost position again, while Mel Fisk pressuring from behind
- LAP 8 - going into Corkscrew, Bauer pushed too hard and locked brakes, I passed him but slide into me, fortunately we got both back on track, while Fisk passing us both

- After that my game suddenly started to stutter, not lagging, but stuttering like it is working at 15-20 fps, It got me de-concentrated, making it hard to drive
- LAP 9 - first turn, Bauer passed me - I was in POS 9 at the moment, game still stuttering, tires burned, hard to keep the car on the road
- LAP 9 - turn before Corkscrew, I went sliding of the track and spinning, Dancourt passing me - now POS 10
- LAP 9 - next turn - Corkscrew, missed braking point, went sliding and spinning towards barriers, losing one more position - now POS 11
- LAP 9 - last turn, tires overheated, made a big slide, almost spinning out, lost a lot of time
- At this point I was very mad, there was stuttering, I did several very big mistakes in 3 turns in a row, car undriveable, I was close to quit but decided to go on
- LAP 10 - I wanted to Pit because of tires but I saw Tobias very close in the last turn, so I decided to take a shot to get closer to him even my tires were done
- LAP 10 - last turn, me sliding big again and almost spinning out, losing a lot of time
- LAP 11 - turn 3 - tires gone, Cook pressuring from behind, I went sliding of the track, spinning around, he passing me by
- LAP 11 - got a big slide again almost spinning in turn just before the Pit
I got into the Pit and left the car there, I was done for the night
