Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to our 2017 autumn season.
In this league we will race the Porsche 917. This car is fast, powerfull and demanding. Only the bravest will dare to get inside this car and get on the track.
This fifth round will take place at Rouen Les Essarts. This classic track is so complete only the best drivers will be able to take the best of the car lap after lap.
SR4L wishes you good luck for the season.

2 x 16 laps Race 2 Reverse Grid (Top 10 finishers)

30 minute qualifying

1 mandatory pitstop must be done every race with all four tires changed.

Because the pit exit is very dangerous at this track a lot of care should be taken.
In qualify do not exit to track if the blue pit exit light is flashing, wait if need be.

In the race, there is no need to wait but please keep to the right of the yellow line for as long as possible. Let cars overtake you on the left until you are up to speed.

Car and Track not automatically downloading when I try to enter the Server. Any hints?

If it's at all possible we need to turn off track limit detection. Like what happened to Tim racing the newer Rouen circuit, if you overshoot the Nouveau Monde hairpin on the 1955 layout you will get a stop and go for cutting the track.
Sorry Fergy, all can think to do is download manually.

So when I search ROUEN LES ESARTS in Locations on the RF2 site or in Steam Work Shop I get nothing. I always added a link for for car and track just to make sure. There is always someone who has trouble and we don't want to lose any potential new members.

Turning off track limits would be helpful, I always get track limit warnings from crew chief in the hairpin, even when I drive it absolutely fine and no wheel extends beyond the cobble stone part and being off the apex by some margin.

I think to do that the 'Flag rules' setting would need to be lowered. But doing that means the pitlane speed limit would be disabled too. If there is a way to still have pitlane speed limit anyone know?
I see the track at the next race Monza-2014 gives cut warnings at the 1st Chicane :/.

I've seen that too, just having to be careful not cutting corners that much

Decided to join this one as the combo was too good to pass up.
Had a great race in R1 after grabbing pole and had ED hot on my heels pushing me all the way.
Unfortunately R2 was a bit of a doomer as i had contact a couple of times.
Mr Coyne i do apologise for nerfing you around but i do feel this was unavoidable on my part, you looked to be kinda boxed in to the left of me and behind another and i was surprised by you pulling right and braking all of a sudden leaving me with very little to no reaction time with us being so close but i do apologise fella :-\.
Second contact was just straight up foolish on my part as after tripping over myself while chasing the lead i had to rejoin the track at the final hairpin.
I did do driver position checks but obviously made a hash of it as i re joint right into the side of ED.
ED.....real sorry chap, i see the contact didn't really effect you at that moment but hope you didn't get to much damage from it :o.
I hope to join in again at some point and hope after this there is no hard feelings
