Just adding my reports here.

Q: played quite a bit with different setups and found something fast. With a PB to my great surprise i was leading fir the first 15 minutes of Q. Then DJ went in front. As there was still enough tine i gave it another go. Took out any excess fuel that was left after finishing the previous stint. The track felt better than in the run before, maybe due to additional rubber. It was all or nothing, the car was glued to the road. There was a 1.20,5 in the first timed lap and then the 1.20,3 that got me back in front. I was cheering in my seat.

The race was not so exciting.
R1: could keep up with the front until l had to go for the pitstop. It turned out that I shared with Russel who just stopped in front of me for an eternal repair job. That was it then.No chance for a good result.
R2 : Started on P11,sneaked to P8 in first lap and kept there for a a while until l bemefilted From a big pileup in last turn→ P4. Could keep this position and even close in a bit on P3 When I made a stupid mistake in the overtaking of Bruce. He kept the line and l went too far right hitting the guard rail and flipping over.Still madeit to the finish but the good result Was ruined.
However a fantastic race evening

not really my season. q in seventh (no training during the week), got through all pileups in opening laps of r1, held onto 5th place when my car suddenly exploded on the entry of curva grande in the last lap. most probably due to a severe lag of djc who respawned inside my car somehow. was able to limp to the finish in 9th.

r2 started 2nd, even lead for some time until a few faster guys overtook me. had a few scraps further down the order until someone snuck up inside parabolica just enough to spin me round. not giving in yet, i continued until someone turned into me at lesmo 1. car somewhat bent, i made a quick exit and finally gave up.

i did not have too much fun. maybe its time to add a tiny tiny question mark to the overall driving behaviour. i mean if you are close on the runup to parabolica, there is no need to put your nose inside when not clearly in front. you will get me in the draft on the s/f straight anyway, so why risk it?

anyway, team will be back full force on the nordschleife next year.

Qually

Couldnt replicate my times achieved during practice but managed a front row place .

Race 1

Got a good start and grabbed the lead, stayed this way until around lap 8 when my front left started to give up , DJ who was following picked me off , so I tucked myself in behind and used the draft to keep DJs pace as Lee was becoming a threat , pitted on lap 10 and came out on clear track pushed hard and was rewarded by passing DJ again as he exited the pits , we did another lap together but then came on Tobias who had exited the pits and was approaching Curve Grande , fortunately I had the speed to get in front and grab the corner but DJ had a more exiting time of it and didnt make it .
Places came to me and I was leading by 6 secs from Dave Hart but then my front left started giving out and Dave reeled me in and passed me on lap 20 , stayed near him but couldnt do anything , going into Curve Grande on the last lap he just disappeared and then reappeared way behind which threw me a bit , so I crossed the line in first .
Thats not the way I like winning , that was Daves race he was the better driver , I will have no objections to the points and places being amended to reflect the true result .

Race 2

I was too cautious at the start but survived until lap 3 or 4 when I missed my braking point going into Parabolica , was carrying way too much speed to try the corner and didnt want to take anyone out so just steered off and vaulted the fence , I would have got a gold medal at the last Olympics for that vault but sadly no gold medals here just a consoling cup of coffee.

Another fun weekend of racing for me.

Race 1, nothing terribly spectacular. Finished mid-pack, which is a win for me.

Race 2 made it apparent that I still don't have the mental cajones to run in the front. I started in the 2nd row and absolutely dusted everyone off the line and lead the first lap. MOST of the first lap. When I got to parabolica with 18 other cars in tow, I completely panicked for no reason and spun it, causing a pretty good amount of chaos.

Just put me in the back every race. I'll end up there by the end of the first lap, anyway Smile

Had a few intense and FUN laps battling with Lee toward the end of the race. Goooooood times. Those are the moments that keep me coming back for more.
