Welcome to Sim Racers 4 Life Fun Events.
Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to another of our typical Fun Events.
This time we race the Formula Renault 3.5 at Monza (modern version). Being used to racing classic cars, this quick modern formula will need a bit of a practice to get used to it.

May 20th 2018
16:25 GMT (17:25 BST - 18:25 CET - 12:25 EDT)
120 minute practice
18:25 GMT (19:25 BST - 20:25 CET - 14:25 EDT)
30 minute qualifying
19:00 GMT (20:00 BST - 21:00 CET - 15:00 EDT)

Race 1 - 20 laps

Race 2 - 20 laps
Being a Fun Event, NO mandatory pitstop is required during the race.
Track, car and mod should be automatically downloaded the first time you get in the server (in case you don't have them installed).

We've started laying some rubber on track, getting more comfortable to drive than before, still more rubber can be layed down to get even more confidence with the car.
Two things to be careful with. Being to aggresive on the first chicane entry's apex can lead to a get a track cut warning, probably track not perfectly done.
Also at the Ascari chicane there's an invisible bump, just be light on the throttle when going trough it to avoid losing control of the car.

I also haven't been able to make the DRS work, maybe that was because I was on the lightest aero config.

I have changed the rubber setting on the server it will now progress each time someone uses it and auto-save, so by Sunday you should have a fully rubberized track.

Not a big attendance today, maybe car too modern or too demanding? Anyway I at last enjoyed a car that was a blast to drive... Sometimes classic cars feel like driving a boat on jelly.
