RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - 1976 F1 Season - Round 4 Spain (Jerez) - gorgias1976 - 12-11-2018

Just a Note on this track:
This track has big kerbs. Use them at your discretion as long as grass/dirt is not used to gain an advantage for cutting corners (no wheel shall go through the grass/dirt of the inside of corners).
The green path at the exit of some corners is considered as part of the driveable track, so no problem using it.

Bruce, post: 26088, member: 581 Wrote:Should be here in VR, must make time to practice.

I read your VR post. I'll wait for a big post after the race commenting all about it.

I think I suffer from the same long distance luck of resolution. Having 3 monitor, both side monitors ar 19" and have a limited resolution. Due to nividia limitations central 29" ultra wide monitor must run the same resolution as the other two. So I run triple screen but all 3 monitors have a 1024 pixel wide resolution, wich makes distant objects to look a bit blurry, just like you'll see them I guess.
Anyway, triple screen is so helpful when being in traffic and it was so much helpful in a track like Long Beach.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - 1976 F1 Season - Round 4 Spain (Jerez) - Bruce - 13-11-2018

Getting their Gorka. My monitor 24" has about double that resolution, so am having to take quite a hit with VR. As they say swings and roundabouts; what you loose in resolution you (more than) gain in immersion. I had set up my sensors wrongly, now they are sorted things are better. Found out what was wrong with iRacing, you need to assign a button (or press the ; key) when you are sitting in your driving position and it then aligns everything. some other stuff to sort out and reassign controls for then all should be ready.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - 1976 F1 Season - Round 4 Spain (Jerez) - Ricknau - 17-11-2018

I don't have a custom skin for the McLaren. My plan was to just use one particular stock model (Shadow #16) to have some consistency of livery. But with this track online, there is only one model to choose from. Any chance we can get the server track to offer all the car choices the offline track has?

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - 1976 F1 Season - Round 4 Spain (Jerez) - Bruce - 17-11-2018

What I suggest is you open up the required skin offline, then create a folder this will make an alt skin. Then use this as you car skin. May be someone else may me able to give better instructions if I haven't made it clear enough.

RE: Sim Racers 4 Life - 1976 F1 Season - Round 4 Spain (Jerez) - Bruce - 17-11-2018

Here you go Rick, I've done it for you and put the file in my drop box, here's the link https://db.tt/WhGLKWPLS6

Once you have the file, open rFactor pick the M23, then click on tuning. The create directory. Minimise rFactor, go to the directory you have just created pop the 16_alt.dds file in there. Go back into rFactor, click reload (or similar word) and the skin should be there as an option in tuning.

Sorry Rick, I have been out all weekend and didn't read till now that I just set server for the event. Server mod didn't include the ghost version by mistake, sorry. It will be back for the next events.
