RE: F1 Legends - Round 7 Race Day Information (Interlagos Historic) - Myles (Mr Fox) - 25-01-2022 Track Link: Interlagos Historic by Mauro v1.0 (MegaNZ download) Server password: SR4LInters Sunday the 6th of February Practise session 120 minutes Start Time 17:25 GMT Qualifying 30 minutes Start Time 19:25 GMT Warm up 7 minutes Race 15 Laps One pitstop is mandatory. All 4 tyres to be changed. *Note, speed limit at the pit lane will be 100km/h (~60mph) RE: F1 Legends - Round 7 Race Day Information (Interlagos Historic) - Myles (Mr Fox) - 01-02-2022 RealRoad changes applied! OK, this is important… Until now, the server has been configured to reset the track rubber to ‘Naturally Progressing’ each time the (virtual) weekend starts. It *should* then rubber in progressively through Practice, Warmup and Race before resetting again. It has been noted that a) the track can be too slippy initially and b) during the actual race weekend, it can rubber in so much that ‘hero’ lap times become the norm… None of this is particularly helpful. As a trial - the server has been reconfigured to run a *static* grip level with the ‘high’ preset. It should not change at any point during the virtual or actual race weekend. Please let us know how you get on. RE: F1 Legends - Round 7 Race Day Information (Interlagos Historic) - sdancourt - 01-02-2022 Faster, usually running on very slippery track. Feelings of decent grip now. RE: F1 Legends - Round 7 Race Day Information (Interlagos Historic) - Myles (Mr Fox) - 02-02-2022 There is no standard for track grip levels - or even the inclusion of presets - so what I‘ve proposed for Round 8 onwards (if no other suitable alternative exists) is to rubber in the track for a period (with AI if necessary) and then freeze it. The tricky bit will be deciding what is ‘enough’… The Wednesday night fun races thrive on ‘you can’t have too much!’ but I suspect the Championship is more restrained… RE: F1 Legends - Round 7 Race Day Information (Interlagos Historic) - sdancourt - 02-02-2022 Fixed champ conditions from the beginning should be the rule. RE: F1 Legends - Round 7 Race Day Information (Interlagos Historic) - deecee52 - 02-02-2022 With these cars and the poor tyre model we have to put up with , every bit of grip helps . Like the Wednesday night sessions this is meant to be fun for everyone , the only difference is we try a tiny bit harder to avoid each other
RE: F1 Legends - Round 7 Race Day Information (Interlagos Historic) - sdancourt - 02-02-2022 I like the fixed high grip on server now. Just asking to leave it that way, please. We’ll have to see what works for future tracks - as I said, I don’t believe there is any guaranteed consistency between presets (even availability of presets…) from track to track. RE: F1 Legends - Round 7 Race Day Information (Interlagos Historic) - Myles (Mr Fox) - 06-02-2022 The Race Day info incorrectly suggested it will be a 14 lap race (but the server and welcome message was/is correct at 15 laps...) Don't under fuel! |
