Wow an oval track, I don't love them so much but with these cars must be interesting.

The two Mystery tracks are intended to take you a little out of your comfort zone in terms of the rest of the tracks in the series - and we thought an oval might just do that as your normal setups won’t necessarily have any relevance and many of us (me included) aren’t really familiar with them.

Indi was chosen as it’s a high quality free track and (unlike Daytona for instance) it isn’t flat out everywhere. The need to refuel during Race 2 will spice things up a bit in case trains develop.

Mystery Track #2 will *not* be an oval and might not even be in North America…. Wink And no, it’s not the Ring… Or Transfaragarafaragan, or…

Oh yeah - and I’ve finally watched the video of the NASCAR race… New rule for this event. No wall+riding! (I could turn the Cut Track setting to ‘strict’ - which prohibits this already - but my understanding is that it might prohibit ‘two wheels off’ whereas we are happier with the definition of a cut track as ‘four wheels off’ in general terms).

I'm sure the guy with the best setup will win this one. This person is no me, I'm clueless Big Grin.
I did change the camber on my left wheels from Negative to Positive but never went any faster with it.
Need to find 1.5 seconds.

Some years ago we ran the BT20s at Indy and there was trouble with the blue flag. The rules were too strict for an oval as I recall.

Bedtime here, but feel welcome to test it out with a bunch of AI cars on the server in race session and see what happens if you drop back a lap.

It would be a nice gentleman's agreement if we not do 'Bump Drafting' in this league event.
Bump drafting is the act of slipstreaming the car in front and kissing its rear bumper, this makes both cars go faster.
It's fun to do in practice but think it would be too dangerous in the main race. You would just end up with 2 fast guys in the lead disappearing into the distance using this technique which is no fun for everyone else.

Perfectly fine to slipstream but not bump.

Will your pc be ready for the league race Myles? Big Grin

I did that and all seems OK

RE: TAGELE Sprint - Rnd 4/8 - Mystery Track #1 - Myles (Mr Fox) - 09-11-2022

OK, final details:
R1 Laps: 15
R2 laps: 29

You *MUST* obey the pit entry/exit rules.
Pit exit takes you to inside T1 & T2 and exits before T3
Pit entry starts just before T3, take you inside T4

Do not enter Pit after T4 from the track
Do no exit Pit at T1 or T2

No bump-drafting
No wall-riding
No running, bombing or weeing in the kids pool!

Care on slowing with asymmetric setups!

Password will be Legoland

Additional info: When pitting, move early to the left of the back straight. You are advised to slow before the ‘slip’ as it is easy to lose control of an asymmetric setup and end up crossing T3 and taking someone out.
