Time to change cars after a good run in the Cooper T73s…
Back to the S397 Brabham BT44B and March 761 from the mid/late 70s.
This week - Silverstone 75 by Senorman (v1.4) - probably 7 laps based on my initial timings

Server back up and tested. Lap times are c. 1’12” - races will be 7 or possibly 8 laps long.

Broke a weld in the direct drive frame of my rig during the last race! Couldn't see what was going on (in VR) but guessed.
Thankfully it's part of the wheel mount and not the huge strengthening frame I built to stiffen the rig - should be an easy job to remove and re-weld.

If you have any time free on Thursdays, a number of us (Cruicky, Ed, Tim, me, Bruce….) have been joining the racing on SCBs server (see the ‘affiliate’ thread in the Tuesday/Just 4 Fun section of this forum). It’s been good fun - they hold 3x15 min races, starting a little later than us. Good mix of driving abilities and they generally don’t stick with the same car each week so it’s harder for those with more time on their hands to run away with alien setups etc.

Saturday night.
We’ll try the S397 70sF1 cars at CTMP. I’m guessing 6 laps but I didn’t get a chance to test the lap times.
