RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Paul Swire - 07-02-2013 Lets see how many names can appear on the scrolling marquee this week lol RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Craven Morespeed - 07-02-2013 Excuse me if this has been answered. Can custom skins be used now? My son was working on one and we could not get it to work. I'm figuring something changed in the structure. Don't want to spend a lot of time on it if it cannot be used.... I have not tested them myself yet. But if you read the release notes of the latest build for rFactor it does explain in there where to put them and the filename format. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Fergy - 07-02-2013 We tested them last night T, worked a treat. In game beside the drivers names now you see a green box, that means the driver is using a skin and you've automatically downloaded it. You'll see the downloaded skins when you choose the car before entering the room in Tuning. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Craven Morespeed - 07-02-2013 Thank you. I will re read the notes and try again.

RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Craven Morespeed - 08-02-2013 Got it working. Will get er dolled up later .
RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Lecram - 10-02-2013 No need to register at league-site for this race? RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Fergy - 10-02-2013 No, most have registered under the season SR4L Fun Events. If I find the odd one that has not it's not problem to edit. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Navigator - 10-02-2013 The topic came up yesterday as a joke, but what IS the rule now concerning the chicane? I thought two wheels on the curbs was okay but later on it was decided skipping was okay? It's pretty hard to skip the chicane anyway because the Corvette is to wide for that. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Fergy - 10-02-2013 My Favourite non news reader : Joke of course ![]() This rule still applies http://www.simracers4life.com/index.php?topic=314.msg3323#msg3323 Like you said the car is pretty wide but cutting is cutting and with such a long straight it's quite a time advantage to do so here. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Navigator - 10-02-2013 I did read it a while ago, before the F2 race, but there was also some talk of skipping and what could or could not be checked. Yesterday I was a few times on the inside of the curb, but still touching the curb though; that should be okay then. Don't want to finish well (but what are the chances anyway) and get into a big argument about it. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - gorgias1976 - 10-02-2013 I also thought we remained in the exception we created for the F2s, also that the exception was the track and not the car. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - gorgias1976 - 10-02-2013 By the way, fuel burnt will remain in X3? just to change it in the first post so people don't get confused. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Navigator - 10-02-2013 The server is now set to normal fuel usage; is that a mistake or just the idea? Me, for one, think is more realistic; we have to get new tyres anyway and the lap times are way to affected by the fuel amount. I base that on the following; I scrutineerd the GT2 class on Spa two years ago and mainly did the data. Therefore I know what the impact is on 10 liters of fuel; not much! Why? The Corvette has a tremendous torque and doesn't care for a few kilo's more or less. The Dutch GT4 version alone (the one I know best) can drive the Zandvoort track in just third gear, being only 1,5 seconds slower........ (Believe me, we tried )
RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Fergy - 11-02-2013 Results are up on the League site. Congrats to Bram on his win in race 3, justifies why we have a reverse grid order race. Big thank you to all who attended we really appreciate your patients given all that went wrong. Off to Rnd 3 Kyalami now as the League heats up, see you on track. Bryan *Please note for the Fun Events you will have to edit your cars accordingly for each event e.g. Rnd 1 Lola edited to Rnd 2 Corvette. My mistake for not informing your properly. On the League site you'll see the points unfold in separate classes, not combined as we try out different mods. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - gorgias1976 - 11-02-2013 I was really struggling with the rear of the track on both race1 and race2. Then at the warmup of race3 I checked my setup and realised I had not previously saved the rear toe in I had set for qualy (0.60) instead of the default (0.20) which made the rear very nervous everytime I press the throttle. :o I recorded this videos from the event. Race 1 first lap from my drivers point of view: Race 3 start crash (no one to blame, bad luck for everyone): note: I still don't get to set drivers' labels on at saved replays. RE: SR4L Fun Event #70's Glen Rnd 2 - Lecram - 11-02-2013 .60 rear toe?? You won't have rear tires left at the end of the straight? lolI beg to differ about race 3 startcrash, I really do think you should take it more easy... Again sorry to Wim about the little tap in race 3. :-[ |
