RE: Sebring Fun Race #9 Race reports - Dany_Mitchel - 10-09-2012

Well yet gain I suffered from a Disconnect so that dose really is starting to wear thin
It looks like me and Stefan Mizzi Had Discos
Paul Swire and Andrzej Lewandowski had Suspensions
Dean Hart Run Out Of Fuel lololol I bet you do not do that again

but after that it looks like Gorka Santisteban just run off with a 5 second lead on the rest of the field
I hope some of the guys who raced Start to post their reports Id love to hear what they are saying
I will watch the replay later just got to go out today all day so ill not get time Sad

I think it will be a close battle for who get the Number 1 on their car for Next season looking at the standings

David Cruickshank 256
Jonathan Hallas 224

we need to confirm how many more races in this season so we can then look at how many points left up for grabs this season
Like Bryan said to me last Night we will keep running the same format until the release rFactor2 in store so let me just get my head around the packaging Mods side
and then also you would all have posted your skins or posted a skin request then Ill make the skins Add the top 10 guys numbers to their skins package them and release it for the start of next season

RE: Sebring Fun Race #9 Race reports - Fergy - 10-09-2012

I had some great battles with Marcel, Waldemar, Paul C and Jonathan in the two races I finished.

Race one was for me was a three way battle for most of the race but finding it hard to hang on to the leaders pace. I worked my way up from 8th to 4th but during the race needed some luck to get that result. Trying to hold off Marcel didn\'t work as he just had to much pace and with about 2 laps to go he passed me easily. Waldemar came hard at me but I managed to keep him out to take a 4th and with the standard of the field I was pretty happy with the result.

Race two I was involved in a great chase with Jonathan, I passed him, he passed me and it was wheel to wheel for quite a few laps before he made a mistake giving me 4th place. That gave Marcel a chance to catch me again and he did making up a 5 second gap in just 3 laps. This time I was able to hold him off until the end and again with some luck take a 4th.

Race three, reverse grid order. Yes it\'s a recipe for disaster but it opens up the race for some different results. We seen David Cruickshank win this races in the past from last position but with 19 on the grid it was always going to be a tall order.
As it turns out there was a large coming together ?before T1 (politically correct Tongue ) and the result sent my car flying. I had to make a pit stop to fix the damage and that\'s where my race ended. I got pit bugged finishing my race. Hoping this is on the list of to do\'s for ISI.
The race was entertaining just two watch Paul Ceglia leading most of the way only to have Dean Hart get through to take his first win in the series.

The highlight of the night for me was Waldemars great show of sportsmanship after getting to racey in to T1. As admin I can\'t help but think the League is going in the right direction wth this kind of behaviour. Well done and if we had a sportsman of the week award it would go to you Big Grin

All in all for me personally and in terms of how it all went it was the best Event to date. Well done guys, see you all at the next one

Great sportsmanship

RE: Sebring Fun Race #9 Race reports - Paul_Ceglia - 10-09-2012

Not much to report here first two racers went bad I had to pit for both of em so that was that. Race 3 I took full advantage of the head start but dean got the best of me so i finished second. Really wish I could have been faster. I think my setup was off I didn\'t analyze it in motec like i would normally and I have suffered the last two races because it lesson learned.......... MoTec here I come Wink

RE: Sebring Fun Race #9 Race reports - Jean_Todt - 10-09-2012

I am hoping Some one will put a MoTeC Tutorial together for those members that do not understand it
Help give them more knowledgeable that can only be a good thing for community racing

RE: Sebring Fun Race #9 Race reports - gorgias1976 - 10-09-2012

Hi, well the Motec app can be very usefull. We can make a post about it (not now as it\'s late to get on it). Maybe tomorrow.

My personal Report.
Race1
I was surprised when Marcel lost some places in the start and left me leading the race. I was quite relieved when I saw he was several places behind as he was really fast in this track and I knew it would be very hard to hold him. I tried pushing hard But David Cr. was always there pushing. Later Dean went into second place and he started to gain back around 2-3 tenths per lap. About 3 laps to the end he was a second behind untill he made some kind of mistake as he went back to 1.6 sec distance. The following lap he dissapeared from the screen and David took second place 5 seconds behind.

Race2.
More comfortable than Race1 except for the first two laps when David was really close behind and looking for a place to pass. I was able to find a very good concentration and pace and started pulling around 0.8 sec every lap, so I felt less pressured and more relaxed as I felt I could keep that pace not too difficulty.

Race3.
It\'s Head or tails as always when you start from the very back. Just thinking in avoiding the usual race3 start accidents. Only had a bit of a touch with other car leaving me slightly damaged, leaving the steering wheel slightly turned to the right and locking up more easily during brakings. Reached to be 5th but finally only managed to be 7th. When reached the final lap I saw the fastest lap was Dean\'s 2.24.4 so I pushed very hard to try to get that fastest lap and an extra point. I was able to make a 2.24.2 and get that extra bonus.

RE: Sebring Fun Race #9 Race reports - Lecram - 12-09-2012

Well, a bit late, here\'s my race report for last Sunday\'s race at Sebring, including a 15 minute video with first lap(s), incidents and highlights from my perspective. (Pass on Fergy included ;-) )

I was quite pleased with my pole-lap, people were already congratulating me on my 2.23.9xx while I was trying to go even faster which resulted in a 2.23.8xx. Could have been a little quicker if I hadn\'t been eyeballing the chat...

How my races went, you can see it in the video.
I had a very bad start for race 1, lost more places later in the first lap but managed to finish 3rd.

Race 2 my start was better but after chasing down DjCruicky and Gorgias for a couple of laps, I apparently found it more interesting to start making mistakes and even making the same mistake twice...

Race 3 I had to avoid 2 cars coming down on me on the left so I moved to the right, hitting Gorgias (I think) and spun in to the wall but fortunately only touching the front and back end of my car and not the tires. I had little damage and was able to overtake some cars and close in within 2 secs off Paul Ceglia, finishing 3rd again.

So here\'s the video, hope you like it and till next meeting!
