Sim Racers 4 Life are proud to announce the 1960's Brabham League. Seems a long time ago when we first fired up the F3's, since then we've come a long way. Not just as online racers but as a strong community with helpful friendly members. Last seasons F1 League was a huge success for us, the level of racing was outstanding, we attracted new members and had a lot of fun doing so. Every active member can be proud that we now have a member base of around 250. And a special thanks to Marcel for keeping it together while myself and Bryan has been busy with RL events.

This seasons will be no walk in the park, it's a tough mod and will require practice if you want results.

The SR4L Team would like to wish all participants good luck for the upcoming season.

SR4L 1960's Brabham League In Memory of Sir Jack Brabham

Points System

Points down to 20th place.
25,21,19,17,16,15,14,13,12,11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1
Pole position; 1 point
Finishing 100%; 2 points
Fastest Lap; 2 points

Minimum one pit stop required with a tyre change. Drivers not electing to stop and/or change tyres will be disqualified from the event.

Calender

1st June - Brianza (Monza) (2x30 Min Races)

15th June - Malaysia (2x30 Min Races)

29th June - Silverstone (1 Hr Event)

13th July - Belgium (Spa) (2x30 Min Races)

27th July - Monaco (2x30 Min Races) Re-scheduled for the 30th November

4 Week Summer Break (Fun Events will be run)

7th September - Nordschleife (Ring Tourist) (1 1/2 Hr Event)

21st September - Zolder (2x30 Min Races)

5th October - Essington (2x30 Min Races)

19th October - Oval Event (Indy?) (1 Hr Event)

2nd November - Longford (2x30 Min Races)

16th November - Sebring (2x30 Min Races)

30th November - Monaco (2x30 Min Races) - This replaces the Monaco event missed earlier in the season

14th December - Le Mans (2hr Endurance Event) Season Finally

Sunday's
P1 17:25 120 minutes
Q1 19:25 30 minutes
Warm up 7 minutes
R1 30 minutes
Warm up 7 minutes
(Reverse grid order for top ten only) 30 minutes.

Fuel usage; Normal

Damage 50%
Auto Clutch on

Teams and how to set one up.

The manager will start the following process:


Go the League Site

Teams/Manage
Add
Add your Team name e.g. Wackey Racers
Choose the season, SR4L 1960's Brabham
Save

Scroll down and Invite yourself and your Team Mate from the list.

Once your invitation is accepted you should see both your names in your team list.




We wish you all the best for the season, it's going to be a tough one. Keep up the great standard that we've set over the last 3 seasons and I'm sure we're in for some fascinating and challenging racing.

hey guys..
tim and I signed up for team: Old Guys. I received the emails notifying me that we both had asked to be on the team, I replied back YES to both. I noticed that on the league site our status hasn't changed. is there something more I have to do? :o

Aww, can we skip July? Norway has vacation in July so I'd have to miss Spa and Monaco... that's not fair... Please... fun events during July and August... please... :-)

Cos, 90% of people here have their vacations in August, if we skip that too, we will have a 2 months brake, isnt it too much?

more team sign up stuff..

hey nikos, I don't see team old guys by my name in driver index as team as I do for the other two teams listed. also, under "Invitations" in team section, I have my name and a yellow sign under "sign of ask"
I just resent both emails to SR4L administrator - or is there something else I am suppose to do with "sign of ask" I tried clicking on it, Nothing. :-\
I am close to using my Hammer >Sad

I received a notification of invitation and went online and accepted. However, Jerry may have been trying to invite "tim" and not me. Hope this can get worked out to Jerry's satisfaction.

but, jim is right - Tim McCoy has requested to be on the team. I got an email from SR4L Administrator saying that he did. I have replied to that email Twice. would like for you to add Tim McCoy to the team..

as you can see, it is hard to get on our team. Fernando Alonzo asked, but just no room for him 8)

I know it's imposible to make a calendar that suits everyone, but saying 90% of people here are having their holidays in August without a single poll is way too optimistic.
My holidays, like cosimo's, aren't in august and I'll problably be missing some races.
Anyway, I accept the calendar as it is. I know a 2 month brake is too much and take for granted that it has been stablished looking for the good of the mayority.

I would like to race all of them too but I will miss Malasya and Silverstone (damn!) for sure (holidays in June) and some others too due to yet unplanned personal reasons :Smile
