Alrighty, after missing all races so far, I am hopeful to make it for this epic one Smile. New PC build finally appears up and running, no visitors and no apointments planned. Just need to get myself on track for some necessary practice!

Bit of a shame we're using the old Nords version and not the fancy new DLC one, but it'll be good either way Smile

I took the following for a decent price/quality/speed ratio:
CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 + Scythe Mugen 5 cooler
MB: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max
RAM: 32GB (2x16) Crucial 3200MHz

I still have an NVIDIA 1070, which will do for the time being.

GPU prices are quite bonkers these days. For new GPU's apparently the AMD RX 5700 XT gives quite a good bang for your buck.
NVIDIA released about a billion new RTX cards and I have lost track: 2060, 2060Ti, 2060 Super, 2070, 2070 Super, 2070Ti, 2080, 2080 Super, 2080Ti... lol. My guess is the RTX 2070 Super is currently the best price/performance on the NVIDIA side.

Je je, not want to bother someone but, I m still running my 5 year old PC with Intel i5 processor, 8 GB RAM, NVIDIA 750 GTX and Windows 7.

And going for the # 4 or 5 startup repair, loosing some races, like 54 Endurance this year, still having fun and no DX 11 at all.

Windows automatic updates blocked since day one.

Maybe next year I will be able to search for a replacement. Meanwhile.......cross fingers every day.....

Race day question --

Will the temperature be set to 20c for the race, or will it be as it is now on the server (30-ish)?
I only ask because I SWEAR the temperature is having an affect on my car setup.
I suck at car setup, so maybe that's a thing about which I'm not aware. Or it could be in my old man head Tongue
When in doubt, pass out.

I think default 29ºC is unrealisticly hot unless always racing in the summer. I'll always try setting temperatures close to real race location/date and set them on the server as announced.
So yes, server event will be set to 20ºC

Sjeez, I forgot how difficult these cars are to drive... and how fragile they are. One small brush with the barriers and the suspension is wrecked. Hope I can finally manage a proper lap soon, I kept on crashing before the end of a single lap lol
