i Had an Imp , handling was great as long as you had a heavy tool kit in the front or it wandered in winds , heavily modded the engine and cured the head warping problems buy fabricating a 1 gal sump , it could hold 3 figures all day without overheating , sadly could not cure the Transaxle problems but i had three transaxles which i overhauled as reqd and could change a box in 20 mins , compared to the Minis i owned the engine was in another class , designed by Coventry Climax the F1 engine designer and originally built to power a fire pump
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

Sadly not , this was in early 70s so no easy pics like now , the only pic i have with one of my cars is an Opel Manta B , must admit i would have liked a record of the cars i modded or owned but you never think of these things when your young

It’s not so hard for me - the (running) average length of ownership of each car in my fleet is something like 9 years - and I’ve only ever sold three of them!

...anyway, the League(s)…

Any further thoughts on the format and whether we can usefully incorporate the Tuesday sessions?

If we ran both as equals and tried not to repeat any tracks, we’d probably need to keep the season short at about 6 weeks - otherwise the quality/suitability of tracks might suffer.

I can see pros and cons for attendance - Tuesdays might become more popular if drivers try to make up for a bad Sunday result - but Ed probably won’t be able to spare time for both and Cruicky will! Big Grin
