Tuesday Night Fun races are still going

Just a small reminder for the SR4L gang that the Tuesday evening fun races are still happening and all are welcome to join just for a bit of fun.

At them moment we are racing the 1973 Porsche 911 RSR's available from the workshop http://here and next week (30th) we are at mid ohio which you can get http://here

The format is 10 min single flying lap qualy for race 1 then each susbsequent race is the reverse finishing order of the previous race. Races are only 6 laps long so not too long to wait if your race goes wrong on lap one. There is normally about a 3 min gap between races (to set the grid) and we can get about 5 or 6 races in an evening. The practice server is up most of the time and qualy starts 7.30pm UK time with the first race about 7.45pm

There's also a discord channel [url]here[/url] called "3Cats" .... (don't ask) where we hang out during the races and the banter is usually brilliant. Again all welcome to join but please bring your sense of humour

Absolute hoot last night in the 911RSR's at Assen. We had both new (to SR4L) drivers as well as some old time regulars with grids of 12 cars at one point. The short race format and reverse grid worked really well with some great battles throughout the field. There was a little paint swapping but nothing the clerk of the course needed to worry about, and some stunning lap times as well as the odd monumental mistake ...no names mentioned Cruicky but it was in all great fun.

Furthermore for those on discord the banter was very funny and highly recommended for all to join...just bring your sense of humour.

The '73 911's while not to everyone's taste are obviously a popular choice and no doubt helped by the weekend league using the same cars so we're going to continue with them again next week at the portugese circuit of portimao. Note this has been updated from previous versions and renamed Algarve motorsport park which is in the workshop http://here

Some really good battles last night. Cruiky was always quicker and had to use every trick in the book to keep him behind me...especially into turn 1 but must admit I didnt see that one coming

To screen capture my game I use Shadow Play that comes with NVIDIA Experience. You need a NVIDIA graphics card. You setup a hotkey on your keyboard to start and stop recording.

All this historic racing at Laguna... somebody needs to update the old GPL classic Laguna layout into rF2 like recently was done to Keimola! The 1981 Can-Am race on the classic layout begins at 46 minutes into this video:
