Sim Racers 4 Life - T290 Season - Round 6 - Nordschleife
#1
[Image: 18WMnMS.gif]

Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to Season 7 of our Historic's League.
This season we pick up the younger brother of the classic Lola, the T290. With 4 different engines available it will be up to you to decide which one will fit you best in every track.
This sixth event will take place in Nordschleife 24 and will be splitted in two 30 min races.
The Green Hell is back. Twisty, narrow, fast.... and mainly dangerous. Only the bravest will survive both races withouth a scratch. Can you take the challenge?

SR4L wishes you good luck for the season.

Great visual teaser, Gorka!

--

4 laps with no pit pit stop on TOURIST Layout is gonna be a great challenge. I suggest that we race the SUMMER version, since the Autumn version isn't a pleasant drive at all: very low grip – due to low temperature, and also visually a bit exhausting – the incident of light and the colours make the track rather a BROWN/GOLDEN HELL instead of a GREEN HELL.

I doubt there is any difference at all between the summer and autumn versions except from the colourful trees. Temperature is decided by the user, so we can have +29°C in the autumn too if we like Wink But Gorka is looking at the IRL weather forecast, so it won't be that hot. Actually it will probably be closer to the temperature they have there in the autumn, about +12°C Tongue But as we are closer to summer than autumn here in Europe I also think we should go for the green one...

And btw we won't have the Tourist layout until Paul is home again, I guess.

Since we are practising the 24h track for 2 weeks, then we should race at the 24h track.

OP updated to Nordschleife 24h

I'll try to get some practice tomorrow.
Is there some rubber on track in the server to get some practice there? I lack of a nice rubber file.

No reason to apologize, we expect and encourage members here to check and question the work done, we are a community and checking from the members helps all.

Note that damage is most of the time 50% except at special sircumstances.
Also, T290 and T280 are very robust, 50% damage to the other cars usually means broken steering for any head collision.

First practice yesterday afternoon at 24h Nordschleife.

I did a couple of laps in the Mosport setup (mid wing) and another two in the Zandvoort setup (high wings). Times being very similar. I need more practice to fine tune the setups and see which I like best.

Sorry guys I've left the race I was really struggling with shivers and starting to lose control of the car. I've just checked my temperature, 38C. Bed time.

P.S.: Special apoloigies to Ramon, sorry about it.

Sad to see you leave like that. Despite your condition you did well in second race.. I could not pass DJ and you left us behind.

Get well soon.
