Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to another season of our Historic Leagues.
This season we race the Brabham BT44. Fast, handles nice and brakes good. This 1974 car has huge rear wheels and adjustable front and rear wings which can bring a lot of different race strategies.
It's the final race of the Season. We move to Brianza to do a full GP according to the season this car raced. The temple of speed is awaiting you.
SR4L wishes you good luck for the season.

Gorka, thanks for the announcement!
The race will be over 60 laps, really? Seeing that the best lap times are around 1min20sec, the race will be around 80min, right?
As it's known this is going to be warpfest, is it possible to run this in a way that we are all ghosts to each other or as some sort of private practice? Just for this one race?

Yep, around 80 minutes. Just like the original race from that year.
Well, actually the original track from then had chicanes so they did 55 laps. We will do 60 to do the same racing time.

Between private race and postponing, I say postpone.
Can an average computer host a dedicated server without struggles?
I don't mind sacrificing the racing and hosting it (having the knowledge on how to do it)
gorga - thank you for your offer, but i don't think any one of us should have to sit out a points race to host. would not be fair to you.
if server is not right, race should be postponed until either server is right, or we get another server that is right.
we could show up if paul has tests to run and needs us to do formation lap for him or do 5 lap races to test things out to get it right, but it should be right before the finale of this season or any points race of the next season.
Paul is doing everything humanly possible to solve this, which makes me think - it's not on our end. hopefully the tech guys on the host's end come up with a cure - and/or - we come up with a different server. in any case - Thank You Paul!

I absolutely agree with Jerry!
It would be much better to end the season with an exciting speed fest where drafting is fun – that what Brianza is all about. Since we also did not agree yet on another car for next season, there is no rush in finishing the BT44 season (today). Rather we could use a week or two to test both the server and other cars (for the coming season) before celebrating the final BT44 race.
Once more I would like to thank Paul for his ongoing efforts and endless patience trying to solve the problem. I am sure there will be solution, hopefully sooner than later
Anyway, someone (who?) should make a decision about tonight's race! I will accept any decision (but would prefer a postponement).
Then I'll have my new rig. If it is this week I'll still be there, just on my old (trusty) laptop. I think I have been in every race this season be a shame to miss the last race.
If we were to run a fun race this Sunday just as a server test it might be better than finding issues during league race. I suspect they are gone but good to test with many drivers.
