USF 2000 - Round 5 –Watkins Glen– Reports

First time in Watkins Glen and I really didnt know my way around.

Not only that, but I blocked DJ in both races (and others I guess, that I dont remember).

Ohh he was furious!! He honked and honked, Im sure he wished I dissapeared for ever :

So thats my view from back there, tell us yours.

Qualy

I did an early laptime I was comfortable with. Then focused on timespeak conversations waiting for a latter attempt. When I went to check the time remaining session was already finished.

Race1
-------
Had a good start and even took the lead for a couple of laps until being passed by Kristijan and Willhem. Focusing back on my own race I went to do my pitstop at the end of lap 6. As I had done a new setup from scratch, I forgot to remove the fuel set for the pitstop. That costed me a 60sec pitstop and a heavier car for the second half of the race.
The final 10 laps I was just a few seconds behind John Cook's smoky car, not easy to approach him and have a sight on the refereces of the track.

Race 2

Started well and quickly got into third place. Not being able to overtake Dan's low winged car I decided to go for an early pitstop.
I came of the pitlane right in front of Willhem. In the battle we kissed tires and I took big damage against the wall.
Decided not to repair and kept fighting the car for the remaining of the race avoiding racing other cars to prevent me from hitting them in my battle with the wheel.
