#1
Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to our 2018 spring season.
In this league we will race the BT20. This classic car has a great balance between speed and car control. Great to race around the best classic tracks.
This third round will take place at Rouen Les Essarts. Technical, fast and dangerous. The hairpin and the long back straight will be the decisive parts in this event.

SR4L wishes you good luck for the season.

--8 minute warmup with pitbox sharing check at the beggining
race 2 - 15 laps - Reverse Grid (Top 10 finishers)

(*) Drivers will have 3 laps available for qualifying (outlap + timed lap + inlap) There will be only a single timed lap attemp for everyone in a 10 minute session. Once yo go out on track you must go for your lap, exiting to check something at the garage will result in not being able to do a timed lap.

(**) Special Rouen pitlane rule:
During races, drivers coming out of the pits won't have to wait for traffic on track. If faster cars are coming across the main straight (blue flashing traffic light), cars exiting the pitlane are allowed to exit the pit area as long as they remain at the very right of the track while catching up speed and remain there until braking for turn 2. (if no traffic is reported cars will be allowed to use the whole track for faster acceleration)
Drivers on track are warned to be careful when meeting cars coming from the pitlane and to take a wider line through turn 1 in that situation (try practicing it before the event).
Incidents reported after the race due to a bad use of this rule will be investigated.

1 mandatory pitstop must be done every race with all four tires changed.

Track, car and mod will be automatically downloaded the first time you get in the server (in case you don't have them installed).

There is a story from 1967, when FIA stablished the F2 European Champ. That first year were raced 10 champ events plus 16! non champ races and ones of this non-champ events was held in Rouen Les Essarts. This F2 champ was a very popular series among F1 drivers who been "graduated" werent able to gain championship points .

During the first practice before the race, top F1 drivers meet informaly to discuss how to handle the fast downhill esses from start-finish line to Nouveau Monde. Clark, Brabham, Stewart, Hulme, Rindt and others were talking about, when Jochen said he can do it flat out in fifth, nobody believed him so he jumped on his private BT23, The others went to the downhill to check the austrian driving and he made it, going at the limit of the track in 5th gear flatout (later got the pole against Clark). At that moment, Brabham said: "Amazing driver but I not expect a longer life for him".

I'm not sure if you can reach to see the light at the end of the pits, but having the drivers' labels on (TAB key) it's very easy to see if someone is about to exit the pits.
