Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to our 4x4 Championship.

As a lead up to our up and coming League event we are running a mini championship comprising of 4 Races over 4 weeks.
Rnd1 Kicks off with the 1954 Endurance 2ltr Class at 1966 Hockenheim track
Rnd2 Is the battle of the Datsuns and Celica at Bridgehampton
Rnd3 Will be a taste of oval racing with the Indy Carts 1985 at Indianapolis Oval
Rnd 4 The ultimate challenge, Porsche 917's at Nordschleife.

Season Rules and Calendar:

Rules are simply, enjoy the racing. Pit stops will be optional. This is a lead up event to our 2019/20 League and is designed to challenged the drivers with the main purpose of having fun.

Very pleased that we're going racing again! Some great car/track combinations there. Obviously I am very much hoping that we use the Studio 397 Nordschleife.

The 1954 cars, especially the 2 litre ones, have the most brutal lift off oversteer because there's a huge amount of engine braking. I don't know if the actual Maserati A6GCS would do this, but in the game if you just lift off in first gear the rear wheels start to lock up, so lifting off is like pulling the handbrake. I really enjoy the challenge though and its fun to have something different to manage through car control as I can't see much in the setup to compensate without compromising its turn-in ability.

I tried a few laps, initially without checking the HP of the different cars, and I accidentally took the slowest car lol. I could manage a lap with that one though... Then tried the one with max HP, and I couldn't make it through a single lap haha. Sometimes I didn't even manage to get past the first straight without crashing when shifting! Crazy cars, totally unpredictable. Hope it goes better after some more testing, and I can finally manage a lap without crashing :p

I find the drop from 3rd to 4th ok its the drop to 2nd where it gets hairy , you have to get the speed off the car to get the downshift smooth , just forget you have a first gear

OUCH what have they done to this mod , i could achieve a nice balanced car before , but now it feels like it going to spin out but then decideds to under steer off instead .
As for the raindrops i thought the indycars didnt race in the wet , when they came over to the UK at Rockingham they wouldnt start the race because one corner was damp , they used mobile dryers to clean it up .
