Great attendance today, its such fun racing in a full grid
Some big lag there especially at the start of race 1 but in the end all went well (I hope for all).
I broke my PB several times trying to be back at home on time for the race, Im really glad I just made it.
My race went well, I really enjoyed making NO MISTAKES AT ALL at race one and only 2 at the second.
Lets see if I can keep that at Longford as mistakes there are deadly.
So, place your reports here gents and let us all read about your Oulton race.

Had a comfortable quali session with a couple of 1:32's my very first laps, and a new pb. Then I sat out the rest of the quali, watching DJ and Gorka's fight for the 2nd spot, closing in on my time as well. I decided to go out for one last try just to be sure but couldn't improve. Pole anyway, with a margin of 0.6 second iirc.
RACE 1
No grip on the inside and Gorka was almost up and past me before T1, but I managed to stay ahead. I was slowly building up a gap but made some small mistakes the first laps. Couldn't find a good rythm. Eventually I found it and I could pull away. Pitstop end of the 10th lap and Gorka was suddenly in front of me. He had a good pace and I was wondering how he got past me.. I couldn't see any blue flags but after a while he was letting me past and I was quite confused. After that I was just lapping a few guys without any troubles, and I could finish the race in 1st.
RACE 2
I saw Gorka disappearing already in T1 and I was following Coyne, Bayford and DJ, I think. I had a nice fight with Coyne and Bayford the first laps while DJ was quick to handle the traffic and disappeared. Finally I was in 2nd position and DJ was just a small silhouette in the distance. I had my timing HUD off so I don't know how much I was closing in on him. However, my pitstop was really slow and I knew I had lost a couple of seconds. But with new tires I was really quick and I saw I was closing in again. With a few laps to go I saw DJ having a big moment when he managed to avoid a crashed car, and suddenly I was just 2-3 seconds behind. Then he had to handle 3 or 4 lapped cars and after that I was on his tail. The final corners I was right behind but couldn't make a safe pass and finished 1 tenth behind :o

When i entered the server ten minutes before quali start i was thinking omg these laptimes and what a lot of people.....great ;D
Quali gave me 10th spot and spot 4 to 10 only 1 second difference. 8)
Race one: started with lots of swerving cars and lag. when the field spread out a bit it seemed to get better. I was in a great battle with Rick Nauman when all of a sudden in lap 5 my game froze just after t2 and when it woke up again i was on the green stuff with my left front missing. I could have tried to return to the pits and get repaired but wouldn't take the risk with all those people around and called it the day for race one.
Race 2: Had a great start (no lag or swerving cars) and before i knew it i was from second to last to 8th place. Making good laps without making mistakes and in a nice rhythm. Had a nice battle with Kevin Knorp but unfortunately he made a mistake and i could get past him and had to pit, was in 5th spot at the time. Re-entering track after pitstop i was in 8th and 2 laps after pitting i was back in 6th. I couldn't gain on Dan Bayford and John Cook but Jurai for sure gained on me. We battled the last laps and Jurai let me live and didn't try to do a all or nothing attempt in the last lap. So finished 6th and am happy with that.
thanks again for hosting and hope next race we will see as many contenders as we did tonight.

well not the best weekend had a good lap in practice but could not match in qual ended 15th yuk bad.
Race on did okay but two sorry's 1 to Conner I touched his rear wheel and sent him off I misjudged sorry then toward end I overran Dave Bradley and hurt us both ended 11th sorry guys.
Race two was my turn in turn one Gorka hooked my back wheel and we danced into the fence he retired I limped around spent two minutes in pit for repair then got back out to get 14th.
Dodged lots of wrecks had fun lots of cars good deal.
only bad thing was the reverse grid was a total mess not even close.

..being in the midfield at the start was a surprise to me as I did a PB in Q And I expected the worst as the 1st corner is a game of chance most times ..exiting T1 a car or cars where cutting the grass on my left ( a job I find my car likes to do from time to time ..just wish it would give me notice when it would like to this charitable offering ) any hows I had to avoid and back-off to give space but the guys behind couldn't see this and as happens & knew this could be a wreck waiting to happen ..ether for me or behind me ..so the Dice was rolled & when it stopped ..it was the turn of my car.. to roll ..and Roll it did (D'OH)_ half way down the hill and towards the infield .."just stop" I was thinking .."just stop and I'll limp back" to the Pits !! Not a Chance :o I went over the Gard Rail and was dropped into my Garage in time to see the 1st half of the Poland v Ireland Match ..we lost 2 - 1 AAhh welll But we Beat France in the Rugby 24 - 9 LOL .. Bullwinkle fair play man & No Problem as nobody likes to HIT or Be-Hit but it happens & T1 happens & some times last corner last lap happens.. it's Part & Parcel ..For me It was the Game Physics that I taught was excessive ..with the Barrel Roll over the fence ..But I would as it was me lol & didn't even get a chance to return D'OH lol on the FLIP side excuse the pun I'm just happy I'm Not ( Damien Flack ) as he was hit by his brother..( Adrian) who was trailing him @ Bathust .. tapped his rear ..he escaped with broken ribs and a punctured lung.
watch the link..Holy Sheep Shit :o 8)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNMXY3mwk5o
Race Two Not a Bad start and picked up some places as others dropped off ..on the back straight Hill Top caught a car coming back on he was keeping left and doing a good job at it & as I reached him he picked up speed kept the place and at the same time E Gerrits Pulled out of my Slip & was by.. so followed them into the left & onto Druids but driffed wide the right side in the grass and was left trying to avoid a big one with Gerrits ...lucky..That was close .. I missed his tail JUST.. ..and slowed down before hitting the Tyres backwards ..Right Rear Damage & back down the field to 20th so this would just be a run out to the flag ( Just Finish Who Knows Who Will Fall Off) so kept going the car wasn't bad to drive Not Great But it's been worse Lap 7 heading down to Cascades behind someone I turn left car goes straight on think I hit rear to side this time and the Back-wheels were Bent & rolled it road side and Found I had very little control under power & was Zig Zagging hence I backed off but got in Paul Swire's Way making contact Sorry Paul ..further on same Lap I left the track again trying Not to mess up any one but again I made contact with E Setser.. Sorry Man was pulling it to the right trying not to re-enter the road after this I just tried to stay out of the way and finish.. but like race two @ Road America .. my car had an ON/OFF affair with the Tire wall ..to be honest most of the Tyre walls ..yea I know she gets around and around ...some times She likes Front on & some times the Rear 1st.. and some times she just likes to tease just giving a glancing kiss and moving on so my car likes to roam about.. shes a bit of a Bohemian so I Call Her " Gypsy Rose " watch out !! she's way Loose..a bit Touchy Feely and a Sloppy Kisser .. Well Done to the lads at the front and all who turned up it is nice to have 20+ on the grid also @ Nikos & Paul Swire ..lads that was Skin of Your Teeth Timing Good to see yeas in till next time

Qually
Went out early and set a time I was happy with , I was chasing a slot on the outside row so I had the line into turn 1 , was holding 4th but nervously watching Dan who was threatening my time , fortunately I didnt have to go again .
Race 1
Got a good start and held position through turn 1 , chased DJ down through Cascades but then he started warping so I backed off , the warping disappeared after another lap so started to push , I could see DJ having a fight with Gorka this was allowing me to slowly close up , suddenly on the exit of Druids I saw Gorka on the grass in a deep and meaningfull conversation with the barriers .
I was up to 3rd but now DJ was pulling away , pitstop went OK and the rest of the race was uneventfull so I finished 3rd .
Race2
Got a good start but had Rik breathing down my neck , I in turn was leaning on Dan , this started a good 3 way dice that went on for a couple of laps , I managed to get alongside Dan approaching Knickerbrook but had to back out of it as he had the faster outside line , this allowed Rik to close and he was all over me , he went for the move into Cascades and passed me but then slid wide , this allowed me back under him to get the place back , got a good exit out of Shell and claimed the outside line for Hilltop and Knickerbrook , I got alongside Dan Again and this time I had the faster line so I managed to squeeze past , Rik also got past at some point and going into Cascades I locked a front and went wide , this time Rik went past and made it stick , after that I just kept my nose clean and kept it on the black stuff , another 3rd place WAHOO .
Again these cars showed they are great fun , I think that shows in the attendance .
That was a very enjoyable event and despite the hiccup with the server (well done Paul great recovery) lots of fun , next round cant come soon enough .
Oulton is a bumpy and demanding track where setup is important , from Connors report he struggled to enjoy it , to anyone who is struggling on any future tracks , dont be afraid to ask for a setup , they are not state secrets and for anyone willing to try one of mine they are welcome .
Thanks to Admin for putting on a great event , well done guys .

What a disaster. I was suspecting that would happen after only having practiced for half an hour in the whole week and no long stints.
Qualy
------
quickly got some 33s but with the sensation that I wasn't doing a good lap. Later in the session I managed it and got my 32.9 that was good enough for second place.
Race 1
--------
Started fine on the rubbered side and reached side to side to turn 1. Having Rik on the inner side there was no need to battle him and decided to protect my second place from the drivers behind.
I was lapping fine and cautiously on second place having DjC behind but far enough to be safe. Some laps later we reached a lapped car that took two laps for him to let us through. This helped DjC to stay right on my tail. The next lap I was a bit wide after the back straight and with him right on my back I had to keep foot on the throttle to defend position. This caused me to take the next curves completely offline and reach to the next braking with car not under control. That was enough to go wide to the grass and hit the barriers hard.
Had to drive with a damaged car to he pits and wait for a 110sec repair.
After that all I could do was drive fast to try to regain some positions, finally ending in 12th place.
Race 2
-------
Made a good start from my 9th grid place and I was able to overtake Rikard before turn 1. I had Tim on my left and was trying to give him enough room. But due to lack of rubber after server restart I was more wide than I wanted touching wheels with Tim and being spit to the wall (I'm sorry Tim). It wasn't a hard hit but unexpectedly car had severe damage, a lot more than in Race 1.
At this moment I though "still a full lap to the pits, with a lot of damage, just to wait for 3-4 minutes repairing the car and end up last...." I pressed scape and exited.
Let's hope Longford goes better.

Well, great champ, this car is a joy to drive and with a lot of gentleman drivers, even better, thats the good side, je je, the bad one is too many aliens sir!
Qualy: After many laps a many setting changes, I reach 1.35.8, my best time and P16.
Been Road America so frustrating for me, I pray for better luck at the start (And shortened 1th gear).
Race 1: Good start, keeping my place but in turn 2 found a mess in front of me and quickly went to the grass to avoid a crash, loosing 2 places, fall to 18 position in lap 1. From that moment, I start to drive consistenly on 36s without a single mistakes, earned a very good 8th place. Very good battle with Tim, who seems to be my challenge for this champ.
Race 2: Starting in third position in front of all the aliens, nerves! I read the warning about clean track, but didnt realize so true it was and in turn 4, the hairpin, my rear tires looses grip and the car went to the inside grass, I recovery fast but entering the track again was a bit difficult because the traffic, when I finally make it, was in 9 position, fron that moment, I make a steady drive and was 9, 3 laps before finish, but been chased by Nauman (I think), then I make a mistake and lost the position. 10 place in the end, very good too. Many thaks to the Organization for this wonderful champ.

well, one of the good things about getting older is - you can't remember Shi_!
so forgive me for not remembering the names of the guys I hit. just to say.. I am SORRY - didn't want to and it wasn't intentional..
it was a busy race event for sure, lots of cars, lots of close racing. with lapping and being lapped thrown in.
qually went as expected 12th out of 23, I would say that was mid pack..
race one: the start was WARP CITY! cars, where there, then in the grass, then gone, then back again. going in to turn two, 5 cars in front of me dis-appeared, when they re-appeared I was in the back of one of them.. like he was dropped out of no where on my front end... sorry to ?? had a pretty clean race after that, nice pit stop was running 8th on last lap when after lapping someone I missed next apex - my fault completely and put myself in tire wall and finished race in pits in 10th position.....
race two: server crashed, then my computer locked solid and had to re-boot - but I made it back in time for the race and I would be on POLE : NOPE, started race in 20th position?? that happens, I have benefited from that before, so karma demands you pay back I guess - just hope Karma remembers I have paid! I think in lap one I did get on the inside of someone in the hairpin, I thought he would stay out side, he probably never seen me inside - sorry to ?? hope it didn't mess your race up. then near end of race, I was on the back side of the track, racing hard with?? and he half looped going into the tight right hander 2nd to last turn on course. I locked the brakes up as much as I could but couldn't avoid ya...... finished 16th...
WOW, that's a LOT, not to remember :o
Thanks to ALL that make it happen!
so, onto Longford I guess....
seeeeeeeeee ya --- jer

Congratulations to the podium and to the great crowd that showed up. With that many racers, there was never a lack of someone with whom to race. Once the argy-bargy at the start got sorted out, I pitted after a few laps to avoid pit spot crowding. I came out just in front of the leaders. I hope I didn't delay them. (I considered balking Rikard, but hadn't gotten a down payment from anyone.) Once the rest of the field had stopped I was working my way up the field. Unfortunately, Rick Nauman and I had some contact near the end of Race 1. I thought I was leaving him room, but apparently not enough. Apologies if it's my fault.
There was quite a bit of lagging and warping. I also had a freeze while in the pits for the second warmup and had to quit rF2. Then I couldn't get back in for the second heat. Fun with all the folks who joined, but the warping wasn't helpful. Is someone going to post some video on the ISI forums? They need to see the level of interest in the Historic cars.

By the time I figure out how to do a video, the F1 W06 Hybrid will be vintage! ;D

The problem of creating a video of a full race is that you must watch where the action and that demands a lot of time, a lot of different part recording, mixing... way too much work.
I remember Microprose F1GP2 back in the 90s already had a replay mode that looked for close driving and switched between cameras to show you where the action was. I think ISI should make something similar and I don't think that can be too difficult to do.
