Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to Season 8 of our Historic's League.
This season we race a multi-class league. 4 classic cars will take part in it: Eve F1, Spark F1, Matra V12 and the BT20. You must choose one and race it for the whole season. As always the most important here is having fun in every race.
This fourth round will take place in Silverstone 1975. The excellence of historic racing, fast corners and long straights will bring very close racing. Don't get too confident, walls are not far enough if you make a mistake.

I will find it hard to put myself among the top ten in this track but I will be there in case I can give a bite to the cake.

Silverstone= one of my least favorite courses.
However, I forgot all about this classic version. WHITE KNUCKLE FUN!

Yep this track has a great flow and it feels great when you put the car exactly how you want it in these corners, with a little oversteer but without overheating the tires. Good news is that I will finally be able to participate again

Try follow the yellow lines as best you can around to the main pitlane. Try avoid hitting wall getting there ???.

Started practicing today... Not going well so far.. I thought those obstacles in final corner/chicane was supposed to stop you from gaining time, not send you to outer space..

Starting to get a grip on this track.. Now just 1 sec behind you. Probably there is more room for improvement but definitely not a whole second, not today at least. I think I'm suffering more at this track than any other so far with the Spark, lacking downforce in those long medium speed corners. Actually I don't even have the top speed advantage here

Hi, I just upgraded to steam this week, when I join server I get 'Package not available'. Unlike non steam I get no vmod at all to use in modmgr, anybody got any idea how to sort this out? Modmgr.exe seems not to work in steam ver so a bit stuck. It also acts the same on other SR4L server with no password.

Finally leaving during race2 due to undriveable car.

regarding freezes by the end of race 1 and montecarlo, as far as I remember.
I've found that steamreporter.exe tried to access internet to dump a crash right at 21:41 local time, just as freeze happened.
Could the freeze be Steam related, or did Steam detect the freeze and wanted to dump crash information?


Is there a way to set Steam to sleep while racing?

Hey, I had the exactly same thing happening to me when I first converted to Steam.

In my case, I was missing the Eve Matra 1.0 even though I had it installed. There seem to be a problem with the workshop-Matra. When I unsubscribed from it and downloaded it and installed it the old way instead, it worked.

To see which component you are missing you have to open the mod manager and point your cursor on the actual mod that cannot be installed. So if you can't see any mods you have a problem.. Maybe you are in the wrong working directory? At the bottom of the mod manager you can set the directory. It could be that it's still set to your old rf2 install's package folder. In that case change it to your new one.

Hi all,

just got back from a work week in the US and wanted to join the race. Had a hard a hard time due to wheel not being recognized. I had that before and i think it got something to do with Steam. had to reinstall wheel drivers calibrate and then assign stuff back to where it was. Did not work out for R1 and i sucked in R2. Well lets make it better next time then.
