This sunday I am going to race with steam closed to check if the freeze appears again.
Those who suffer from the usual freeze during sunday could organize to half of the drivers having steam opened as usual and the other half having it closed once rfactor2 is started.
Then we could check the results after the race.

Paul I've saved a rubber file from a test I've just taken on the server, human rubber, no AI narrow racing lines.

I'll be there tonight, hope it will be fun.
Tricky to overtake, cars go faster then my little brain can react .
How do you plan on closing Steam Gorka, I though both were chained together?
CU all tonight

I have only had these freezes with SR4L and nowhere else, so I don't think it's steam, more likely something on the server side..

Someone told me to do so at ISi forum, I thought it could be done. Anyway, I'll try it to se if it can be done.
Race will be trick, I prevent lots of crashes, walks through the grass and pressing the shift down paddle to be pushed from the barriers.

It always happens on sundays, around the same time, somewhere between 19:30-19:45 GMT That means it usually happens around the end of race 1.
If it could be server related, let's hope Paul's changing it to Steam configuration will help.
It could also be Hoster related. Maybe the hoster of the server does some kind of maintenance process that causes the server to get too busy and freeze all drivers around.... but I also remember that at some races it just didn't happen to everyone (David and I always get it... even we both got rFactor2 crashed at the same time during a race)

There has been no noticeable freeze this race, but when I checked my dump folders I found a dmp file. 21:40 CET.
According to replay file we finished first race at 21:32. That's how undeliberately we avoided the freeze.
Maybe we should fit races to start at exactly 21:00CET so it ends just before freeze.

I too have a dmp file time stamp 25/09/2016 20:32 GMT.
I thought for sure you had a pause in 1st race as your car disappeared for a short while and then you were behind me. I even waited for you to caught up. But because you said you did not have no pause I guess you just crashed.
Was fun, was very close racing us two. I did trip over the odd back-markers, but some how finished both races in 1st .

It was great racing. The second race, with less rubber on the track I really struggled for the first 15 laps.
By then, with a lot more rubber on track my oversteery setup started to work and I was able to gain back on you (even doing at least one 42sec lap). Overtaking was very difficult but it was a great battle.
People, many of you were missed in this race.
Now time to practice right foot braking in the pedal mod, it's going to take a bit of a time to learn.

By the way, next fun event (the one officially starting the BT44 League) will be the BT20 at Interlagos
I may not have time today to prepare the announcement but you can already start practicing.
