Sim Racers 4 Life - March 26th - Fun Event - Caterham at Targa Florio

Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to a very special fun Event.
We will have a 1 lap race to the Targa Florio open road track in the Caterham car. Qualifying will be very important if you want to avoid being held by traffic, drivers joining after the qualifying session has ended will have to start from the final rows.
Remember gentlemanship and having fun are our main goals so be patient when fighting slower cars.

SR4L wishes you good luck for the race.

16:25 GMT (17:25 BST - 18:25 CET - 12:25 EST)
120 minute practice
18:25 GMT (19:25 BST - 20:25 CET - 14:25 EST)
10 minute qualifying
(qualifying will be only 10 minutes long to avoid people starting their laps 5 minutes to race time and having to wait for them for more than 40 minutes to end their flying laps. Remember than when the 10 minutes end, if you are on a flying lap, session will wait for you to end it, and that time will be completely valid)

Car and track will be auto downloaded when joining the server if you don't have them installed.

I gave it try last night, but didn't finish a lap before it rolled over for qually. Just I couldn't get the low fuel light to go out even when brimmed. Does the light come on when a lap left like it does at say Monza or is it light a fuel light in a real car (comes on when down to say 2 litres?

Top it up Bruce and it will be ok for 1 lap.

That's OK, the Caterham is much better (for me) on this track than the Cobra.

I don't know if online server is faster but I did a rather comfortable lap offline, no major incidents and the laptime was rather slow, 41 minutes. :-\

Should be fun. It's like 2 events in one.
First the qually lap, I'm guessing it's private session so we not see other cars?
Then the race. I'll try not to lay lots of wooden posts on the road to flip your cars with. 8)

Don't forget to put your clocks forward one hour.

I made a full lap in default fuel (aprox 19 liters-5 gals)

I let you pass me and then you threw yourself at a wall just before the 1st hair pin. You got good height, sorry, I didn't call the RAC. Was a fun drive, I admit I took it a bit easy and tried to drive it clean as there are a lot of little corners the car can get caught up on at Targa as well as fence and wall ends hidden in the shrubbery. Gorka tried to kill me near the end

Not my best day here, nice qualy but very nervous in race.

Being close to Harri and Deecee, when aproaching the second bridge on sector 2, at the lower part of the mountains, I crashed with two sticks debris and get a very long, long fly, landing below the bridge with no way to exit: DNF.

I had just landed from a 20m height after having gone wide at a curve and having no room to go back because of the wall. I knew you here coming and I tried to recover backwards, I must admit I wasn't any carefull at all about leaving any room :-X
