Well what a night it was, massive grids, heated opening laps and action aplenty.

Qualifying was a frantic 30 minutes. Trying to get a free piece of track was proving difficult to say the least. I managed a 1:22.5xx on my last lap which place me 9th on the grid. Good result I though given the great standard up front.

Race 1 started with disaster, an unavoidable incident in front of me left me in last place after T1. I really believe the over smoking tyres need to be addressed as there is simply to much of it. I fought hard after that to get back to 8th position late in the race only to have an incident with Everon, 50 50 who's fault but I came off second best and dropped to 10th where I finished.

Race 2 started impressively I thought. All drivers getting through T1 unscathed. Astounding effort. I held position pretty well and had some serious heat behind and in front. I managed to hold off Marcel for a lap and a bit before letting him through and than had to contend with JJ in a battle that last a few laps before we slightly touched on the last turn putting him into the grass... sorry but again nothing really in it. I hung on to 8th with Marcel, Dean Hart and DJC all with in sight.

Race 3 Reverse grid order, great start worked my way up slowly before someone spun in front of me on the fast right hander on the back section of the track. Again the tyre smoke made in hard to see, I had no idea where to go and just clipped the back of someone. This sent me flying over the fence and off the track. I followed the tree's around to where the spectators sit with their sun shades, than drove through about 6 old London buses and a handful of American school buses before falling into a hole that went to oblivion. Race over, disappointed not to finish.

It was great nights racing. SR4L can be proud of the way they conducted themselves, I know I am. Well done guys.

My report.

My Qualifying went for a non valid time. Someone had crashed the poles at the end of the straight that I used for braking reference. When I got there I missed that reference and went wide through the gravel (or is it bumpy tarmac?) that made me get some tenths advantage that ended up in a "cheat" lap of 1.21.6
Time was running out and tried to get a fast valid lap. Only had 1 lap change as session time was ending. Did 1.22.1 which should have put me in 7h instead of 5th.

Well, that didn't really matter as in the start of race 1 I had some slight contact with someone being thrown against the left wall and seing my car flying and flying till landing with my steering turned 45º left if I wanted to keep the car straight. I went for the pits to spend 300sec repairing. The rest of the race was an interesting battle against another driver (M. S. I think are his name initials) and Bryan trying to lap us fighting behind the other driver to be let pass.

The second race, starting from the rear at 17th or 19th place I took an easy start avoiding problems, seing tire piles flying and cars being hit and spinning. I had an early battle against the same driver as in race 1 till he made some kind of mistake, the I found myself in a group of 4 cars (Marcel taking the lead of it). At the end I was approaching Everon when at the straight he was hit by something invisible (as he told me later) and was thrown to the grass and lost his position.

Race 3 (reversed grid). Starting in 10th and avoiding trouble I was able to find myself quick in third position. After some laps I reached to be first but receiving a big battle from behind from Kei??? (don't remember now). After 5 or 6 laps holding him I was a little wide at turn 6 and he made the pass through the inside. At the final lap, I was closing to lap Giorgio when he spun at turn 10 and I just could not avoid him, hitting him, stalling and losing a couple of places ending up in fourth.

Can't wait for the F2 league to start.
