I will be doing some work on the website over the next few days, so don't be alarmed if the site does not respond.

The work I am doing should not effect the servers so you can continue to practice.

Hopefully as a lot of you can see the website has had a completely new overall.

There are plenty of features I still want to add and got some crazy idea's what I want to do. If theres anything you would like to see let me know and I will see if it can be done.

WOW indeed!!
The start with the lap at Spa is so right on the point!!

As Bryan says its tons greater on the eyes.
Now we all must shave and change our pictures at our profile :

Im still trying to figure out how site works, so Ill come back again with suggestions.

One or two things I noticed or I didnt understand:

1. Donations should be seen immediately when we enter site as it was before. WIP by Paul

2. Somewhere there must be TeamSpeak too. Go to Discord Channel Paul says.

3. Introductions by new members could be there too so they notice it without searching.WIP by Paul

4. Its not easy for me to see which posts I have not read yet, it was very easy before.WIP by Paul

5. I miss the news posted on first page too.

6. Is there a way to know which car a server is running at Live Timing? Right now there are two servers with Rouen and no info of which car till you enter server.WIP by Paul

Ill add or strike things as I understand site more.

I'll try to add some opinion on new design as I test the website.
First impresions:
On a widescreen monitor website looks too narrow leaving lots of black space on the sides. I think that can easy fixed by changing the css:
"p-body-inner" has a max-width of 1200px , I think it looks better by changing it to 80% (that should fit better all types of screens)

I also think it's a bit too black. The "p-pageWrapper" class could have some kind of background images, same as we had on the old website. That would look better than all being plain black.

Doing this css changes using a background image as an example:

Other idea would be to be redirected automatically to the forum index if you are already logged in once you type http://www.simracers4life.com .
I mean, only non-logged users should get the intro site with the Lola video.

Page width should now be set to 80% on all screens.

I need some good background images - who's going to accept the challenge and find some good ones?

I'm working on finding a suitable one that meats our needs.

Not many people use this anymore, our Discord channel has a speech channel which is just as easy.

3. Introductions by new members could be there too so they notice it without searching.

Agreed, I am checking the settings to find a way the site will navigate guests/new users to a certain area.

Yet another challenge, I would like to change the speech buttons at the side of each forum, perhaps a colour smal SR4L logo for new posts and a black and white one for no new posts.

I am working on a new live timing widget for the site, I will see if we can include this in there.

I will have a look into this one, it will need a little work on the front page so it reads the database before it redirects you to the correct page.
