Excellent. I will try to make it. The last Cortina event was great fun Smile

Are you forcing the 180hp engines?
Reply

No way I could. The mod of the car is not splitted by engines, they are splitted by Model/Chassis or other thing I don't remember now. Engines are an option for every model. Sad

Is there a way to check what engine drivers use so that we could have an agreement not to use the FVA?
Unfortunately this race clashes with the ISR race at Spielberg in the '54 mod.

I'm working on an update which will remove the FVA completely from the mod.

Regarding the chassis upgrades, it's going to be difficult to police. The modern race car spec suspension does have a small advantage, but it will be difficult to tell who's using it, although there is a way to tell.

Unfortunately Studio397 don't seem interested in fixing any bugs so the 'force upgrades' feature doesn't work which is incredibly frustrating.

The only other way around this is for me to create a 'league edition' of the mod which will then lose all the historic value of the car.

Hopefully I can join you guys in the race for this one, and then get depressed when I get thrashed in my own car!

I think you can check upgrades used with rf2 log analizer
But you can see that after event with race result log

Nice feedback and nice mod Smile.
Does the bumper upgrade affect the car in any way or is it just cosmetic? I mean if having it on do you take less damage, does it affect drag?
cheers

I prefer by large the 180 hp engine too, but people already started to practice with the FVA. So do I.

Which side of the chicane are you using? left or right?

I admit to sometimes using the right of the chicane since it did not invalidate the lap but it felt naughty.

The bumper is just a GEN entry so is purely visual. But now you say it, maybe I should make it reduce/add weight slightly.

Regarding drag, the car is already a brick aerodynamically so I don't think it would change it by a noticeable amount.

And regarding damage, the rF2 damage system is so broken that again it doesn't affect anything. It would be nice to have a properly working bumpers that protect the bodywork, and get vertex deformation back. But it doesn't seem to be on S397s list of priorities. Unless it's modern endurance and eSports they don't seem interested.

Would love to have a run around here in these. Getting package not available. Is it only Adelaide required or are there other tracks in the package? Cheers.

You need to suscribe both track and car, then restart rfactor2 for them to get installed. Then join again the server

Ah, you're trying to join the league server, not the fun event server, try that

I guess Bryan changed server names. Some time ago I had them named as "!SR4L 1979 League" and "!SR4l Fun Event" Instead of being named "!SR4L Server 1" and "!SR4L Server 4".
I've taken back old names so people will find them better.

Race laps set to 17 laps.
Also rubber set to autosave so you will no longer find a green track.

It should be possible to make a "Class Package" upgrade that has a specific set of upgrades, right? (I assume rF2 can do that same as rF1 did.) Then make any other upgrade change the car Class, and limit the server to the desired Class.

I've just released the update. Should auto update from Steam Workshop.

FVA upgrade is removed from all Historic Race Cars.

I recommend restricting the cars on the server to the Historic Race Cars, but make sure you all select the 1966 Team Lotus Race Engine in the upgrades. Suspension upgrades are still there.
