Might have to start Tail-End Charlie for this one. I'll be at work until five minutes after qualifying begins. I should be home just in time for Warmup. Even if I get home while qualifying is in session, I won't have time to do an outlap and begin a qualifying lap.

I am happy to tell you a secret Ron.
If you take the lane on the right before leaving the pits, you do not have to do a warmup lap. The timer starts at the bridge.

So the "start timed lap here" is not just for decoration. I usually start in the left lane (as we drive on the left it is more natural for me), and allways have to spend 10 mins on an out lap. Useful to know. Thanks.

it costs about two seconds though since you're going slower than from a flying lap

Not as fast as the second lap, but enough for you Ron, to start in the frontWink

Oh awesome. Hopefully I can make it just in time to do one lap. Sorry if I end up making everyone have to wait nine minutes...! For now though since it's GT40s and Laguna, I'm on that server for the race today. Nobody else here yet though...

What a shame we can't run the S397 scanned track. Sad What a gem!

While I agree it would be awesome to race at the laser scanned version of the track, I am just super grateful for the opportunity to drive competitively on the Nordshcleife as it's such a wonderful place. My favourite track in the world.

maybe we can do a fun race on the S397 track following the league race for the ones who have it or put onto one of the servers for a hotlap competition?

I am still having a lot of fun on the old track too and FPS are really good
Do you even lift?

I agree! My picture at right is from a 2011 Euro trip I made with my daughter. (God I look so young! Big Grin ) After Spa I just couldn't pass on driving to Nurburg for a couple of (normally paced) laps in a rental car. Checked that off my bucket list. She spent most of the time looking out the rear warning me about hot lappers closing on me!

It would be nice if S397 could offer some kind of "server special" so a league could purchase a group license. That way the track could be run without every individual having to have purchased it. Might be impossible since each user must have it installed. I would contribute to such a group purchase.

It is a very beautiful track with beautiful landscapes but I hate it and I do not find it suitable for modern races especially with slow cars where the lap seems endless to me.

One run a week doesn't leave a lot of time for practice and I just don't have enough time to assimilate this track that I don't know well, I'm going to take a break this Sunday and I have to rest my arms and shoulders which make me suffer.

Have fun and see you again in Mosport, a place that I really like not far from home.

I remember driving this back in the last century in GPL. Best I ever did was 8m 59s in the Brabham on the 1967 layout. In the Lotus 49 in iRacing I did 8:46.489 at http://Nürburgring Combined - Gesamtstre.../out Arena and 8:22.608 at http://Nürburgring Nordschleife - Industriefahrten

Oh yea, I'm pretty sure the iRacing version is laser scanned along with all the "Graffiti" on the track.

I hope this will be on twitch,if i can’t race it I can at least enjoy you guys battling it out
Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it

Ups, That looks to be most likely Imposible for today. We finally were allowed to travel anywhere inside the country so we just came to my parents house, by the moment we get back home today, most probably the race will be on the way.

I really like having the twitch stream too, but your family is more important.
