Post-F1 Wednesdays….

Wed 17th - 2002Ti’s at Pittsburgh International (available from workshop if auto-download doesn’t work). 5 laps

Will look at Nurbs as a possible 1-lap venue but it’ll need some testing, methinks.

It can be *really* frustrating but I suspect it’s actually a good trainer. I’ve whittled down my best time to match yours and Cruicky’s - but I had to work hard to get close - it’s just sooo easy to get it sideways and throw time away by the bucket load.

Finally found a car that works well at Dijon!

We'll continue the BMW2002Ti's - similar(ish) track to Pittsburgh but a bit shorter and easier.

Looks like a great track but I'm seeing framerate issues. It drops to 35fps towards the end of the lap when Pittsburgh didn't drop below 100fps. Changing all graphics settings to minimum makes only a marginal improvement to about 40fps.

Ooh. I haven’t noticed any issues - even in VR (but then I have a 4090…) 35-40fps sounds so dramatic that I would have to question if something else is affecting you…?

Anyone else noticed problems?

All good here with my Potato PC.

You getting anywhere with your problems, @Edvvc ?

It occurred to me overnight that there had been a recent Hotfix (I think) to rf2 and that it appeared to have changed the resolution of my on-screen rf2 window without my asking. Didn’t think much of it as the only effect it has on my VR is to change the size of the text in the HUDs and on-screen displays - but it might have done something more intrusive to you?

Tinkering with display settings invariably makes the game hang so I only set it in a configuration file. My monitors only support 1080p so I would have noticed if it changed. Its only Dijon that has the feamerate issues. I probably won't be driving this evening.

Oh dear. I wonder how @DJCruicky ’s hamster-wheel powered PC manages to cope then… Maybe he feeds them extra sunflower seeds - have you tried that? Wink Big Grin

...in all seriousness though @Edvvc - I'm not even getting any minor dropouts. Can only suggest you try uninstalling the track and trying again.

Very happy to be back at Bikerniecki. However when I was practicing on the server I ran wide and hit the wall and was instantly disqualified! Also somehow managed a top speed of 1313kph! I resterted weekend and everytime I try to join the session my steering wheel goes nuts and I am DQed. Restarting the game seemed to fix it.

I had something similar - hit the wall hard, wheel went crazy, not sure what happened next (DQ, kicked, whatever).

I’m also getting less than perfect framerate ( although the long version of the course is worse) - moderately surprised you’re ok!

I'm had that many times.

http://Magione v1.2 is currently loaded following on from the ISP initiated server update last night,

Haven’t tested the track myself (either for basic connection following the reboot or for 2002Ti suitability) - it may change. 5xAI running in first session now as track started Green.

Great. It's like a kart track for cars.
You might need to change time of day for practice as it gets too dark at end of session.

Racing is back this Wednesday (21st).

The BMW 2002 Tii’s at the cracking little Nemuno track:

Possibly the last week of the 2002s - although Cruicky keeps on coming up with smashing little track suggestions that suit it…
