Long wide tracks to get the field well spaced out and with room to overtake like Brianza 10k and perhaps an oval like indy , i think that would be a hoot and possibly a close race for mixed classes

my view too regarding Monza, I wouldnt care to go around an oval bowl again and again though.

I agree the track itself may be boring but i think the racing would be intense . Remember when Mansell went over to do the CART series in 1993 he described the Ovals as racing in its purest form .

someone in an earlier post said this situation is not real , the mix of cars may not be real but the mix of speed differentials is , Le Mans was run this way .

Couldn't agree more DC. Even the most experienced here will take something out of these events.

I second that. At Le Mans all classes share the same qualify session too I think..

Guys, I'm going to be honest here; after reading this, it feels like kicking me and I'm feeling like the bad guy here.
Why? Because you're not fair to me; making it look like I wanted to force you guys into separate sessions or else........

What I did say, was that this kind of speed difference on such a short track doesn't happen in real life.
Plus; I didn't want all private sessions; just that half hour of qualifying.
Also; I didn't say we couldn't learn anything from it or it was no fun; I do think we learn and have fun.

SR4L always says it's very open to suggestions and I had a suggestion. I gave that with some explanation as to why I did that suggestion.
That same suggestion was what Bryan said before the Lienz race; we would do a private session qualifying. That didn't happen and now I say the same thing on a tighter track and I'm the dumbest person ever alive?

Look; I had a suggestion and it didn't make it. I don't feel comfortable doing a session like that and I said I wouldn't join. That's my right isn't it?
I didn't bother anyone with that, I didn't come into the server to whine about it or anything like that.

Again; the race would have been fun and I would have learned a lot. I accept that there are more classes driving there and that would have been no problem, but when I don't feel comfortable driving, I don't drive.

For some reason, when I say something it's taken the wrong way pretty quickly. Just don't, don't do that, as I don't mean things that bad as you guys think or as I come across.
For example; last week in the server I won a race, just because I was driving the only F2. My 9 year old daughter would have won because of the car. I said: "who's your daddy?"........no response........ Well, I thought it was funny! I made a joke, so I thought.

Of course it is your right to have a different opinion than others.
I too have my own. For instance I wouldnt mix historics with moderns. Since people like it though, I yield because I enjoy the fun of it.
So, why dont you relax a bit and enjoy it, there is really no chance of all of us agreeing how this is going to go, ofcourse you can/should object at anything, but at the end just come and race.

There's not much to explain Nikos; you said "error" after my remark (joke) and for the rest of it, it was awfully quite........that alone says something.
So I filled in the blanks myself; I thought you were warning me I shouldn't make those kind of joke's.
But that was just an example.

I too just "go with it" and have no problems with several kinds of cars on track during practice and race; that's fun.
I do relax, just didn't want to take place in a race where I was uncomfortable so I backed off. Didn't make a scene, just kept out.

What bothers me, is that I read three posts in a row after the race went well, implying I'm the fool. All agreed on how good it is to do the sessions this way and......well, it's like kicking me.
When people have something to say, just say it and don't wait till it's over, it went well and then say "you see? I told you so!" plus people keep on agreeing to that.
And the worst thing; when people take something I said and take it out of proportions or don't tell the whole thing; it looks like they are just badmouthing me......well, in fact they are.....hopefully not intentionally.

I did as I said I would and drive race 1 in the Lola, race 2 in the Nissan.
It was comical holding up the 2 Nissan cars in the lolo, they were clearly faster but noway by as I was faster on the straights. Was thinking "Don't swish me" with a grin on my face .

I think if this race was televised live, think the commentators would have been jumping up and down with excitement with my last few laps of race 2 in the Nissan.

I did not read the pm yet, but I want to answer to this one first.
I filled in the blanks, that one has not really to do with the situation; that was an example of how quickly I am misunderstood.
Not just me filling it in, but the quite after my joke.....you know?

And again, sorry to say, I'm misunderstood; I don't blame anyone for having fun and that's really not what I said.
I said, it stings a bit that afterwards, I get remarks on how dumb I am for wanting that half hour of private qualifying. I actually have no idea where you get "blaming for having fun" out of it.
