SR4L F2 Fun Race League Rnd 5 Race Reports

I felt like a punching ball in this 3 races

Qualy: I did a 1.55 something and was happy with that

1 race:
A couple of guys crashed in front of me. I tried to brake hard but crashed into a just landing guy. Someone crashed me from behind and my suspension was broken. I was last but I still could drive with a broken suspension until pit and finished 9th.

2 race
First lap I got hit hard by Mel, flew over the fence and the car was undrivable anymore. Somehow I managed to drive on the grass. I saw Paul in front of me on the grass and followed him to the pits. I Was staying there for 190 sec.
I was last again after pit but managed to get on 14th position. I saw Mel again behind me. He tried to overtake me on the inside of a turn. So he hit me again and I spun into the wall. The last laps I was driving with a broken suspension again.

3 race
I was on turn 3 on first lap when I was flying somewhere over the fence again.
JP came off the track and hit me in that way. I could not find a way out of this and decided to give up and watched a movie.

All in all race one was good result but not much fun in race 2 and 3. That's online racing for you...

Lol, "flying somewhere over the fence again", I'm sorry. I screwed up, I saw you let Marcel pass so I figured I'd try and I wen't outside into the grass, I knew I was going to cause a crash.. I was sliding right out into the middle of the 4th turn right before that hill and there was no way I wouldn't cause something. I almost just hit Esc but I figured there's always a possibility I slide between a gap in the pack. xD

And sorry Nikos on that last turn. Slammed right into the back of you but I was scootin' around that corner following Mel or someone, saw them go on the outside of you but I was going way too fast to compensate at the time and it was right near the apex. There were a lot of distractions this past Sunday in my room with my little brother and parents working on a big school project about Bavaria, I wasn't totally focused. But next race should be a bit better......

Fixed, so many track names in mind....

Qualifying: I noticed that some people were racing the winged version of the Spark. Being in the normal one, I got jealous and swapped cars with just 5 minutes left, abandoning my already qualified grid position. Once I quickly applied the wings to the spark I got back and last lap I placed myself in front of Bryan by a minor 0.004 seconds.

Race 01: Don't remember much about the first race, just that I span a couple of times and finally into the barrier, so I messed that one up completely.

Race 02: Somehow at the start, a lot of people stalled and I managed to gain some positions from 18th. At the last turn of lap one, I was 12th but I bumped into two cars battling eachother. Couldn't react fast enough to avoid bumping them. So I spun out and spent a lot of time in the pit afterwards. After the pitstop, I had another similar collision so spent some laps with a slightly bent wheel, but luckily managed to finish the race.

Race 03: Gained the lead during first lap and held that position but made some minor mistake so DjC caught up with me. Decided to go for an early pit stop so I hopefully could catch the pace again. Before entering I decided to scrape off some fuel, thinking that I wouldn't need so much. Made another mistake after pits so got taken over by two but gained up eventually. Many laps to go and I was making good pace, can honestly say that I was in "the zone".

Then I saw something in my rearview mirror. It was "M Wiegers" sneaking up on me. Fear struck upon me, knowing that he was faster than me. At the time the only solution I found was pushing the throttle harder. Going faster and locking up my tires didn't matter to me because I was defending my position. He was getting very close and I had to cut the inside at T3 a little, nearly causing at collision. Laughing thinking that it did the job but it had no effect on him. Another lap went past but before the last turn I noticed that my fuel was at almost zero. Quickly refocused on the track but it was too late. I cut the curb too much and jumped over it, spinning out my car. I could see the bastard smiling as he went by me. I place my car on the side feeling defeated.

No drama added to this story. It really was like this...

Better luck next time. Intense races, despite bad luck I enjoyed it a lot.

Well, you passed the test perfectly Marcel. Great driving. Respect to you. Your only chance of an overtake would have been if I'd screwed up sufficiently. Thankfully, for me at least, I didn't!
The public servers have a lot to learn from us SR4L guys, if I may be so bold.
