Well, I thought it was a great night, good turnout, great driving, some really fast :o
The lag for sure ruined races but some good fun throughout the event

Hope IsI fix those bugs as soon as posible, mainly the random crashes. Race 1 ruined at T2 because of a sudden controller reset and steering becoming undriveable followed by a CTD when attempting to return to monitor. Race 2 having the pit sharing bug caused me to have to pit twice and race3 couldn't even start after another CTD when changing from warmup to race.

Just wish they bring an update this very week. Don't want to miss the best race of the league, Belgium.

Got the same problem in race 3. CTD on lap 8. Had a look on the server and saw myself racing as an AI :o

btw Im turning smoke down from now on till it is done realistically.

the smoke plume is so big you simply can see anything, again it seems to worse this build and quite noticeable at Mills. We need to keep our trousers on though, we are running leagues with a beta program and are luck to have gotten this far without to many problems.

We'll make an official decision on the Fun Race League this evening but I think it's a no brainer.

Fixed JP, 4th in the first race in the Meganes. If the new members don't register on the league site soon the results will stand.

Yes, even with smoke problems, even with the giant lag last race, I think we are doing fine, Mills was great fun as were all races till now, I enjoyed it very much

I didnt see any reports for this race, so Ill be the first hoping others will follow.

I was having 1:46s at practice, I was feeling I was going fast but compaired to the rest I was teribly slow.
Then, at race, searching for my pit announcement button while racing (I always hit "hi" button, sorry guys) I accidentaly moved seat forward.
I usually enjoy seeing fully the driving wheel and cockpit, but now I was pressed forward, I could just see the gear numbers on wheel.
I didnt notice at first in the heat of the race, what I did notice was that my lap times went to fast forward, I even had a 1:43!!!
Hmm, I must change my cockpit ways.

First race I was hit at the start, I dont remember much more of it, concusion I suppose?

Second race I had a great start, I passed a lot of people at the straight, rushed to T1 to find it in a big mess, I braked as heavily as I could trying not to hit car in front, I succeeded but no, following car hit me hard, I hit car in front and I ended up back to front looking at cars coming fast my way.
I was furious but now I realize that I must have produced lots of smoke, guy following couldnt see me to avoid me.
I crawlled to pits, big pitstop, a waisted race.

Third race (reversed grid) was really hilarious for me.
When it was announced, I was happy to exclaim that at last I would see how starting lights look like.
Then, I entered race only to find out that THE CENTRAL MIRROR OF MY MEGANE WAS OBSCURING THE LIGHTS AND I HAD NO WAY TO FIGURE OUT WHEN RACE WAS ON AS I HAD NO CAR IN FRONT TO SHOW ME, I WAS IN FRONT ROW!!!!!
I tried to swerve car a bit, I managed to see the lights, I had a great start and then I noticed I got a drive through penalty for jumping start
I entered pits at end of lap one, seems my luck left me completely in this race.

Much fun though, even the 5sec lag was an (lolol) unforgetable experience

Qualifying:

I did a 1.37,3 and I was bitterly dissapointed with it. In practice I did a 1.36,750 on Friday and a 1.36,818 on Saturday, but I couldn't get a time in the 1.36 in qually. So I ended 8 on the grid. If I managed to hit my 1.36,8 I would have been on 6th place or 5th place.


Race 1:

Was a great race for me. Start was normal, kept my line and was still 8 after first lap. I had nobody behind me at that stage. But couldn’t really get the pace I wanted with a lot of fights in front of me. So I waited a couple of laps before pitting, because I didn’t want to get in traffic with all the meganes. Bryan who was about 2-3sec in front of me, pitted at the same time as me on lap 4. He was very slow entering the pits and I was tailgating him into the pits. My pitstop was a little faster than his and came out in front of him. But then my mini heart-attack.. I came out of the pits, Marcel had traffic with the meganes and lost ground to the lead-runners. I just came out of the pits when he was going round turn 2.



I was thinking of just taking the inside line of the next corner, but Marcel was a bit braver then I thought and committed to the corner. It was really close!



Probably the best thing that he passed me quickly, otherwise I would have been looking constantly in my mirrors for the next couple of laps.
Then just went round at my own pace, didn’t push to hard, because I am working towards making less mistakes and consistency and in the end it paid off, because I ended in 4th, wich is by far my best result ever.

Race 2:

Had a poor start, lost about 2 places. I pitted early again to try to overtake Jason which I was stuck behind. Had a good pitstop and after the pitstop just tried to go around as smoothly as possible. But Dawave was slowly catching me and I was hurting my tires with lot of lockups and oversteer. Last 2 laps I lost my concentration and I was really struggling with my car couldn’t get a grip anymore. At this point Dawave is about 1sec behind me and last lap saw Neela in the long corner on the back straight and completely lost my focus on the corner and ran wide into the gravel and lost my 4th place to Dawave. But still a good finish.

Race 3:

Had a good enough start and there was mayhem in the first corner, lots of people in the gravel and spinning around and unfortunately a megane took my right suspension out. So I came immediately into the pits for a 61sec pitstop. Still came out in front of leaders and I was pushing really hard to catch everybody. Managed to average a time of 1.37,8’s and around lap 6 or 7, somebody left the race and fused with an megane and we both ended up hitting the wall. Both my front tires were gone. Tried to get out of the gravel trap but just blew my engine up. Didn’t want to leave the session because it might cause some lag I just stayed in the last corner. Hopefully it didn’t ruin anyone’s race. 
I had a great time racing yesterday and thank you everybody for the clean racing! And thank you to the admins and moderators of SR4l for a fantastic evening racing!

Nice report Thomas good to see you on track too.

Qualifying, managed a 1:37.1 which was a pb. A bit of a surprise as I didn't really make the most of practice during the week.

Race1, started from 6th and got a pretty good start. I had Marcel G and Thomas right behind me whilst chasing Dwave and it was a lot of fun until lap 3's first lag. In what seemed to be a gentleman agreement the pack held position after the lag and all the front runners settled back into racing, nice work SR4L. On lap 4 I noticed smoke pouring out the back of my car (sorry Marcel G) and decided to abandon my race. I had forgotten to put my radiator duct back up to 2 :o Things were had bad enough with out smokey and the bandit flying around the track.

Race2, starting from 18th I got a poor start and was by the time I got to T1 I could see quite a few cars swapping paint, did a little my self I had fun getting past the pesky Meganes and worked my way through the field nicely. I ended up chasing the fast improving Alex Baumann for a few laps before deciding to come rather than try and pass him. After my stop I saw no one for the rest of the race and ended up finishing 6th.

Race3, was a lot of fun until the 5 second lag. Some nice battles, did my best to hold back speedster and DJ, lost concentration when Neela's PC crashed but was was happy to finish in 3rd. Sorry to Cookie, looked like you got oversteer into the last turn and I had nowhere to go and I see you got hit by Marcel after the 5 second lag bad luck that's for sure.

All in all from an admin perspective it was not the greatest night but we appreciate members patience with rf2 in it's beta stage. It is going to be the best sim on the market but clearly some work to do.

I had a few good battles in all the races- despite 0 practice the week before i managed to keep 1 point on Mel in the GTR 8)

no problem for the touch Bryan- it was just a matter of time before i got 'moved' out of the way- lol- i was not going to let you pass despite the 2 or 3 second a lap difference in speed-

I was struggling with the Megane to get in the 1.39"s. Decided to go to default setup only changing cambers braking balance and braking map and bum. Suddenly the car was a lot faster at corners making a 1.38"7 in the qualy and be the first Megane in the grid, just to get the first CTD of the night.

Race1
--------
Started well, losing no position and avoiding trouble at T1. But suddenly aproaching the next righthander my steering controller reset. Lost for a second all control of the pedals and steering and car did brake causing someone to hit me from behind. Steering suddenly became so "straight", as if driving a go-kart, the slightlest movement caused for a sudden steering lock, reseting FFB didn't bring anithing new.
Decided to go to do my pitstop and while it took place unplug and replug the wheel. But it didn't work either, so decided to press scape and go back to monitor and wait for the race to finish.
At that moment another CTD happened and that seemed to cause a lot of trouble on track, sorry.

Race 2
---------
Starting last had to do T1 through the inside grass as it was busy with pilled up cars. Got a good first half of the race finally approaching the leading Meganes. At turn 6 we all went to pit. I was expecting my pitbox to be close to the end of the pitlane but suddenly I found it was at the very beggining. Broke hard but I had to reverse. While I was reversing another car came in and stopped in the same pitbox. Tried stopping beside him but pitstop never started so decided to leave pits and do my pitstop the following lap.
After that second pitstop I was way behind having the next car ahead in a 40 sec gap, so I just raced alone for the remaining laps.

Race 3
--------
At the transition from Warmup to Race I got another CTD, so it was the end of the event.
Tried to go to the Belgium server but it was offline, probably to increase racing server's performance, or at least that was what I thought.
So I picked up my racing shoes and went out for an 8km night run.

(It's curious that after online races if I go out running my heart is always beating an average 15 to 20bpm higher than normal running sessions)
