Hi all,

Yesterday was great momments with adrenaline in maximum.
Unfortunately i feel unlucky (i had grand mistake at the first race with the amount of petrol so i had 2 pit stops) but at the end i believe that 3 finishes makes good to my confidence

Little race report from me:

I was thinking about dropping the wings for this event, the personal bests I had with both cars were not that far apart from each other.
I went for wings tho and while the event progressed, I was glad I had. ;D

After practise, I knew mid 37's would be possible, having set a high 37 with a missed apex here and there but I couldn't get below 38 in qualify.
Still very happy with pole.

Race 1 was pretty much straight forward, got away fine and people behind me crashed so I didn't have much pressure.

How different was race 2. Kalle made up some spots after the start and after my pitstop, he was a couple of seconds behind me. I started to overdrive a little and Kalle came closer and closer but when he was within half a sec, he made some little mistakes, throwing him back a couple of secs. The final laps of the race, he again had closed the gap and at the backstraight of the final lap, he was within half a second again.
So with Kalle right on my tail, I nervously entered the final chicane before start/finish. Then I saw Mel standing there on the left but in my impression still on track and on race line and I had to slow down in order to not crash into him.
So that meant Kalle could pass me on the right, while exiting the chicane and the cheeky bastard pipped me with .1 of a sec at s/f. ;D
There must have been a yellow flag at the chicane so in real life this would not count imo and Kalle expressed his doubts as well in after race chat. But this time I'll let you have it, it won't be so easy next time! >

Race 3 I was able to steer clear from the usual tangling cars mid-field and at the end of lap 1 I only had DC and Jason in front. They both went wide at some point and for a couple of laps I had Jason performing as a buffer between me and guess... Yes, Kalle!
So again I was pushing and sweating and hoping Jason would keep Kalle behind. And he did, very well I think because the gap went up to 8 seconds and not long after I saw that he finally passed Jason, the gap went up to 16+ secs, Kalle must have made a major mistake somewhere...
Then I did my stop, was relieved to have such an advantage although KK did some great laps after that. I was sweating all over (finally real summer here in the Netherlands) but happy with 2 wins and a 2nd place (tho a moral hattrick ).

Excellent racing and reports. I love reading how a lot of you critique a race. Congratulations for 100 races Mr. Niko and the post part.....:-) Hope everyone is well.

ps: and yes hope to make the next clio or modern era car race. Seems the oldies cause issues for me. I need the power steering :-).

I think I have some 'cosmic connection' with Evron....can't get out of each others way.....


...i had damage all 3 races...some of it was my fault,...but its time to get on the horse for that 8th place battle...how many races left?

Great event I thought,
the car track combo is about as good as it gets.

Qualifying went well, 7th or 8th on the grid and with little time to practice for this one I was pretty happy.

Race 1&2 went pretty well as my battle with DC continues. I managed with a little luck to finish in front of him in those races with a 5th and a 4th.

Race 3 was a classic. After the mayhem of the start I settled in the a race long battle with DC. I chased him as hard as I could but he seem to have my measure up to the pit stop and was a couple of seconds in front of me. As I entered the pits Cookie exiting from his pit box failed to see me and spun me around which I thought would ruined my chances to catch DC. I re-entered the race nine seconds down the road. By luck he made a mistake and gave me a chance to catch up too. A great chase unfolded and I was right on his tail but finding hard to get past. Last lap... by now we're neck and neck, I always think to myself don't spoil a great race with a stupid move as I and a couple of good runs at him but had to pull out. On the second last corner I had good momentum to possibly have a run to the line, at the same time DC runs out of fuel, I run into the back of him putting out of the race. I waited at the line as I wanted to give the place back not knowing what happened but he was finished

I emailed him straight away to apologise and in a great show of sportsmanship he told me what happened and said he understood I had no chance to avoid him.

So I have a small lead in 4th position going into the last race, either way it goes the season has been a pleasure
