mel and i will need some help painting our cars- someone who knows how to add our team logo to a paint- i think we are too old to research all the paint stuff - personally my head is filled with work most of the time , so learning something new is difficult for old men...our combined age is a staggering 118

if you sent me your logo and sponsor stickers i can give it a try. :-[
But it will not be very fancy with color degradation, etc...(sorry no time) just the kind they used to paint the cars in that era.

Hi
after 2 test/familiarization sessions I have another questions, hope someone kind will help: 1. is it a general habit to have special effects off? There was so much smoke in the short races. In one race more smoke than I have seen in my entire simracing life probably :o. I wandered through the corners completely blind like in the maze. It was not a race, it was a war. passing some incidents seeing someone's engine on fire in the distance through that smoke clouds - I feel myself to be right on the battlefield my left hemisphere was a bit dissapointed with such dirty job but that right was filled with some strange excitement ![]() 2. my topspeed was about 307-8. But in trackmap plugin I could see the tops close or over 320. What is the miracle? I used default setup, than tweaked the gearbox but even with long sixth which engine was almost unable to overrev it was impossible to reach such high speeds. 3. what is the difference between EVE specifications (F1, F1B, F1C)? I tried F1B on default with tweaked gearbox and reduced fuel amount than F1 with the same gearbox and fuel amount and did not feel a difference in performance. In handling there was a difference for sure, F1 suffered with huge understeer. probably it can be resolved by proper setup or adapting driving style but B spec is more comfortable as is so now preferred. But I would like to acquire more informations about the topic...

I forgot another one:
4. both front and rear tyres has to be changed or one of them is enough?
11-09-2013, 09:36 PM
I've just started turning special effects off, I've finally had enough of it and will now wait until it's race ready in 2020.
307 seems about right. In the slip stream I'm sure it would be faster but I don't think 320, maybe someone can correct me on that. You can see the wing differences before you enter the room in Tuning. You have three different wing options, rear wing with front dive planes, front and rear wings or front dive planes no rear wing. All tyres to be changed. The pre-set is for all tyres to be changed so you don't have to touch it. Just work out your fuel. Sim Racers 4 Life Come race the classics

Teams are heating up. Some great line ups here.
Make sure the driver you invited adds them self to your team if he/she hasn't already. Seven complete teams to date

Sorry for leaving just before qualify without saying anything to you people, but i was so pissed off because when i hit someone at the end of practice it was my f**** pedal broke and thats why i loose completely the brake point at the end of the last straight and hit that guy so hard . Since you guys don´t like much swearing on server and my frustration was high... i had nothing to say besides swearing.
I spend many hours yesterday and today learning the Eve F1 and mixing setups i´ve found in my garage of Eve F3 (which i was thinking, until friday, these setups i will gonna use in this event). I´m double frustrated: for missing my first online race as a league member and because off my broken pedals. :'( Think about rage quits...

These things happen, better luck next time. SR4L's had better nights too.

I still think we shouldn't race Blackwood next event. Framerates are very low there, I don't want to know how it's like with a 20+ grid. :

I'll look at it this afternoon. We may bring one of the tracks forward and look for an alternative for blackwood.

I'm cool with that but i don't know about the framerates, what i do know is that i have set a pb at blackwood that i am proud of (thanks to Bart). But please let us know asap what track it will be then because some of us (me including) need a lot of time to learn the circuits and make a proper set up for our beast .

Have you tried setting everything to low?

DJCruicky Wrote:Have you tried setting everything to low? To be honest the only thing i set on low so far is alcohol usage during racing ![]() But you're talking about the graphiks i presume 8) and not the car set up, you almost got me there DJ :-\ Seriously i think the looks of the game are important to me tho i can't play with everyting on high, setting everyting on low would take away a lot of the realism for me. So if fps is low with 20+ on track then i prefer another circuit. But we could do a online test just like we did a few weeks ago to see how it works out at blackwood with a lot of people online. Does it turn out to be acceptable then we could run Blackwood, if not then our pitcrews have to pack and move to another circuit ;D

Well, that's wierd. Due to my 6 year old computer I normally struggle with fps on many tracks (Brianza was a big problem at the straight), but that's no problem on Blackwood. We should test it first and poll to see if anybody else is having fps problems here (wether it is a general problem or a particular one that can be resolved by adjusting specific graphic settings for this track).
Many have already started doing our homework for Blackwood during the week and we don't have that much free time to prepare a new track.

DJCruicky Wrote:Have you tried setting everything to low? Yes. Still very low fps. It's a little bit better, I don't have these ugly white ''stains'' at s/f roadsurface anymore. About 70 at s/f when alone, 45 with 20 ai, me at the back. Now those figures may not sound bad at all, it just doesn't run fluently, as if frames are dropped. It also feels like it's a hard hit on input lag. And compared to Brianza with same settings, alone at s/f, 240 fps... I'd like to try this online as well with as many drivers we can get. I understand people have been testing here already but I did mention this a couple of months ago. Edit: It's a fictional track. I thought we'd race historically correct tracks? ;D Edit 2: those white stains I mentioned are from the floodlights. I still have them but now I know what it is

So lets ask people to join in for a test, Im ok any day after 21:00 GMT+1.
