Sim Racers 4 Life welcomes you to Season 3 of our Historic's League. This season we move up to the Historic F1's in what promises to be an action pack event. There's no way around it, it's a hard mod and with that comes massive challenges. One of them Finishing and being consistent will be the key to a good season. We see the return of the reverse grid race with this series and now with only two racers per round it add a lot more pressure on staying clean in those opening laps. Expect big thrill, big spills and lots of emotion to come out of this series.
SR4L wishes you good luck for the season.

* As you may have noticed , I have extended warmup time to 10 minutes to allow me some extra time to set grid. Please let me know as soon as possible if you want to be put to the back for second race. I'll ask once again in warmup but after that, last minute requests will be denied, to preserve reversed top ten integrity.
* Pit exit can be a little hairy. We have to be careful from both sides, exiting pit and racing. Note you will get a blue flag when exiting pit while another driver is near on the main straight. Though you should expect that driver to be aware of the situation, please be careful entering track.

Last season (F2) we were 26 drivers in a such a short and narrow track.
It also was my first race with H shifter and cluch and I was very satisfied to finish all the races on dignified positions.

26 drivers?? Wow, I can't remember actually, but I do remember it was tight and cars everywhere. It was my 2nd event with SR4L. Two 2nd places behind the invincible Marcel Wiegers and 3rd in the final reversed race, IIRC. A good weekend for me. Sometimes I miss my F2... even if it was inferior to the winged spark most of the time. It was fun to be "underdog" Maybe a fun event? It is very fun in the wet (hint hint)
However, thehe race will be very difficult... Heavy tire wear and I almost get dizzy when driving behind someone, it's like a little rollercoaster with corners everywhere. But nice flow and the track is fun. I don't think there will be many overtakings though...

Do you feel wether the car goes better here softer or harder? (for qualy/race?)
Trying to compensate little practice time with your experience (unless you lie to confuse me )
Very difficult to think for a strategy here because of traffic and difficultness of overtaking (I guess). As I feel I will be a little slower than the top I should go for something different (doing the same as everyone will bring no changes of a better result).
I guess overtaking will be almost imposible unless the one in front does a mistake. What are your experiences on this these days?

As I managed to block DJ and Marcel for 2 laps and take the win just holding my lines, I believe yes, its impossible if car in front doesnt make a mistake.

That can be an advantage or a tragedy if pitting at the right/wrong moment

I think the best spot still is T1 but it requires the driver in front to make a little mistake in final corner, or have bad tires. I almost managed to overtake DJ yesterday when he had a bad exit and I could slipstream on him a few seconds... But I failed and it's very risky. With the F2's it was a challenge, but possible.

Tricky track, it's hard to put the power down. No sooner that you can apply full power you having to start braking again for next corner. Roll on Brianza10K .

Agree. Done some race simulations with AI today, and a pile up is almost guaranteed at T1 (and following turns)...

Not me, maybe in future but I can't imagine people blabbing in my ear with screaming kids in the back being an addition to my simracing experience. :-\ ;D

Cheers and have fun

Rumour has it that rubbing a banana skin on this track will make it less slippery. ;D

Sadly I really doubt I will be home on time for racing tonight. Unexpected family visit. Right now I'm 3 hours from home and no signs of an early departure.
