That always happens to me. Really frustrating... I hate the auto pit request 
In the beginning I manually unrequested when it showed up but it takes only a few seconds before it pop up again, so now I just leave it and press button two times instead when I want to pit (unrequest-request). It's annoying to see the HUD though... I don't want to have it there while racing.
