The no chicane version is the original layout from the 60s , the chicanes were introduced during the 80s for safety reasons
Knickerbrook (turn 6) was a mighty corner to view the racing from but unfortunately it had very little run off , after the death of Paul Warwick in a F3000 race they introduced the main chicane on the hilltop striaght and this pretty much destroyed the challenge of that particular corner

Understeer - is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer - is when you hit the wall with the back of the car
Horsepower - is how fast you hit the wall
Torque - is how far you move the wall when you hit it
