I was feeling pretty confident going into the weekend because I had an "a-ha" car setup moment. The car felt GREAT.
Qualied 7th. I was a little alarmed by the green-ness of the course.
Race 1 I drove like a baby the first half of the race due to the green-ness of the course. No mishaps. Didn't kill or be killed. Placed 7th. I THOUGHT I'd do a little better, but a good finish.
Race 2 I drove a little more aggressively and had some good battling with Rick and Tim. Tim, you were NOT slowing me down in the slightest. I couldn't get quite far enough ahead of you to comfortably tuck in front and make the next turn. I suppose I could have divebombed you, but that's not how I roll
I was bummed when you had your mishap -- I was looking forward to riding your ass all 20 laps. Rick was gaining 1/10s on me every sector so I didn't push too hard to try to catch up. I hoped that my light refueling would put me in front of him. Which paid off
Came out of the pits in 5th or 6th and before I knew it I was in 3rd. I just tried to hold it together and not choke for the duration of the race while Rick was chipping 1/10s off a mere 6 seconds behind. Almost blew one of the turns out the last lap, but rescued it and crossed the line in 3rd. Heart attack city
GREAT start by everyone. No carnage to speak of. Damn, we're getting good

When in doubt, pass out.
