Qualifying and Race 1 went as well as they could without drama. @J-P SImard started to put me under pressure towards the end of the race but I managed to retain the lead until the end.
Race 2 was far more interesting. At the start JP seemed to get off the line slowly but @DJCruicky nailed his start and was immediately on my tail. I tried to keep my cool and managed to open a up a bit of a gap. A few laps in I set fastest lap and thought that now I could relax a bit and settle into a comfortable pace. Right at that moment eveything changed. Maybe I could blame the moth that flew in as a distraction, but I got my braking wrong into the hairpin and @DJCruicky got past. I rejoined in front of @J-P SImard and my confidence had taken a knock.
Eventually @J-P SImard got past, and then @Ratus , putting me in 4th position. During this time, however, we had some incredibly good respectful wheel to wheel racing. Almost three wide at times if I remember correctly. Towards the end @Ratus was unlucky passing a lapped car and I gained a place but I was unable to challenge @DJCruicky and finished 3rd.
Well done @J-P SImard for a solid drive and an impressive comeback.
