Another fun event in these cars but again a strange event for me , no problems with temp in first stint but like Road America temp warnings came in during 2nd stint even though I was 25% on grill tape , is it programmed in to overheat after x laps ? .
Race
Fluffed my start and was swallowed up by Gary , chased him for a few laps could see I was faster but its very difficult to pass in these cars with so little drag effect and poor brakes , you have to wait for a mistake . For some reason he pulled over and I got passed and dropped in behind Ron , thats where I stayed ,
I managed one attack into first corner but slid wide and let him back through , we were both pushing hard and making mistakes , eventually Ron went off and I was through , stayed this way for a lap or so then my rears fell off a cliff even though they were 95% , I spun off and Ron was back through , decided to pit but missed the pitbox and had to reverse so lost time .
Rejoined the race and eventually ended up behind Ron again and battle recommenced , we both pushed hard again but after a few laps of this my engine started to overheat and I had to short shift and then 3 laps from the end my rears again fell off a cliff so I backed off and drove for a finish ,
