I chose the Barracuda over the quicker Camaro for the sake of stability -- longer wheelbase is better for the long corners and in general the Barracuda is more stable over bumps

I’ll check but I don’t think that there is any difference in wheelbases etc. The only differences I could find between the cars while digging through the config files are mass, inertia and the engines - the chassis files appeared to be identical (but I didn’t exhaustively compare them)
